Used to be best doctor I ever had. Now it's all about Mona Lisa Treatment -- expensive, not covered, painful and being investigated by the FDA for safety. Can't even discuss any issues during annual. Need to make separate appt. for a 2 minute conversation. DO NOT DO MONA LISA -- DO YOUR RESEARCH. Get a second opinion. It does not work and there are non-cancer causing alternatives.

She’s insensitive, visit is rushed and she did not believe my complaints about the pain and discomfort caused by my uterine fibroids, instead she said this could be due to “kidney stones”. When I told her that kidney stones don’t hurt only once a month before the start of my period, she still insisted I’d do a kidney scan… . I found myself in this surreal situation where my own OB doesn’t believe me nor the recent ultrasound scan they showed the fibroids doubled in size! It was a nightmare of a visit. She also knew my medical history and that I had removal of fibroids 7 years ago due to severe pain and discomfort and now they grew back …I’m now seeing another OBGYN surgeon now who is going to schedule me for removal of these painful fibroids. I will NEVER set my foot in Dr. Epstein’s office ever again. If you care about your physical and mental health, don’t see her, find someone else.

I have been a patient of Dr. Epstein's for approximately 20 years. She is a wonderful physician who truly cares and is extremely thorough. The office staff are friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this practice for your gynecological care.

Dr. Epstein is caring, informative, compassionate and takes the time to assure all of your questions are answered .

Dr Epstein is such a caring, thorough doctor. She is committed to women's health issues. I have referred several friends to her. Everyone of them has the same wonderful experience with her. She is extremely responsive.

Best GYN takes all the time you need to discuss any issues.

I went for my annual appointment today only to find as usual the waiting room packed with many fusterated women who stated they had been waiting nearly 2 hours. I too had to wait nearly 2 hours past my appointment time. I was also told my appointment "may" not be covered by insurance because they scheduled it a few weeks too early. The office staff made me call the insurance company myself.......but hey I guess it helped pass the 2 hour wait. Also ALWAYS request a receipt for your co-pay because with out fail........ Every year they send me a harassing letter to pay up when I have already paid.

I've been seeing Dr Epstein for over 15 years. At one time, she was a very compassionate, well educated Dr. I can no longer put up with her abuse: I've waited over two hours for my appointment; I've gone two weeks with no medicine while calling CONSTANTLY to get a refill; Dr Epstein will not call you back and frankly does not care any longer. I am looking for a new GYN

I would never recommend Dr. Epstein to any person who looks for bedside manner when choosing a doctor/doctor's office. I would also not recommend this doctor for younger teens just starting to see an OBGYN. Calling the office for an appointment or test result is close to impossible. The doctor is rude, and inconsiderate of patients feelings. I was experiencing issues and side effects with the birth control pills she prescribed to me to regulate menstrual cycle. At the time, I was much younger and she stated that I "needed to stop putting food in my mouth" and "Maybe you wouldn't be fat if you stopped eating. It has nothing to do with your medication." Whether or not the pills were causing the weight gain, she needed to explain this in a professional and courteous manner and address my concerns. I never went back to the practice after that day and found a new OBGYN immediately who took my concerns seriously. I was extremely offended by Dr. Epstein and feel that no physician should… insult patients in this way.

Excellent physician, smart and staff gets studies approved quickly. However, extra charges for blood work that didn't need to be done in the office and it wasn't sent to appropriate lab for my insurance so extra cost of about $100 for a visit. Also check for full participation with your insurance carrier.
