Dr. Debra Mingwai Ouyang, MD

This horrible physician is the only medical field individual I have ever left a bad review about. I was scheduled for a telehealth appointment in the past with Debra that went nowhere because she wouldn't see me without lab results. Why it matters when I am solely attempting to be approved for an insulin pump makes no sense to me, but I accepted my fate. A couple months later, I was referred to Dr. Ettinger's office, apparently an affiliate of Debra's, was emailed access to their portal, but was ghosted after quickly returning their forms, ID, and insurance card. To make matters worse, they are closed on the weekend. After all this rigamarole, I have come to the sad conclusion that Debra could care less about her patients, puts up a facade for those she convinces, cares solely about money (made evident she takes patients in California, while she operates out of Texas with a po box), acts on emotion, and I will never recommend. The definition of a 'Conveyor Belt Physician'. BEWARE!!

I have been a patient of hers for 2 years. She is very knowledgeable in her field of medicine. Always takes the time to talk with me and answer questions. Very courteous and personable every time. Listens and explains things very efficiently. Genuine and sympathetic. I truly feel like she cares about what she does as a physician and also, cares for me as a patient.

I have been seeing Dr. Ouyang for nearly a year and have found her to be very intelligent, thoughtful, and competent. Dr. Ouyang always asks if I have questions and takes time to explain answers or address concerns.

Dr. Ouyang has been an excellent doctor as it relates to thyroid cancer and salivary gland cancer. First of all, she is technically highly astute, which is probably the most important consideration when dealing with such medical conditions. Secondly, she is very friendly and answers all questions in a way that we can understand. In my opinion, the fact that she is young is a big plus because it means she has been trained with the latest science by the best professors. A Five Star Rating is not high enough for Dr. O; she deserves a Ten Star Rating!

Dr. Ouyang, is an excellent doctor, she has been great explaining everything so I can understand. Before I found her my life was at risk. I wished more doctors would be like her.

being diagnosed with any type of irregularity in the body, whether permanent or temporary, is a tad bit nerve wrecking.. we could all agree. Currently I am recovering from hyperthyroidism and my recovery is coming along successfully and as easy as it can be. Dr. Ouyang's staff welcomed me and made me feel comfortable when it came to my first visit. Once Dr. Ouyang came in and we talked a bit out my condition, i knew she was the doctor for me. I do well with doctors who treat me more like an acquaintance but still as a patient. mutual respect, polite, and real. After our first talk, I understood exactly what i had to do to get better, and Dr. Ouyang made it clear to me that she will do her part every step of this treatment. recovery includes nutrition and exercise..let's do more than just show up to the appointments and take medication okay ^_^ i'm well into my treatment and my thyroid hormones-and everything a/effected by the imbalance- are stabilizing **as far as follow up after… visits because i see my endocrinologist often we only follow up at our next appointment. as I continue recovery i won't need to see her as often so i might come back and review my rating on "follow up after visit"

I've never met a doctor with less people skills. she clearly had ZERO interest in having me as a patient Didn't listen to a word I said, didn't care AT ALL about anything that actually mattered. Kept trying to tell me what other patients have told her but while flat out refusing to listen to a word I had to say. At best she is a robot, who can not function around people and can not think or treat anybody like an individual. Also, she sent me for lab work, and was very clear about when she wanted my blood drawn, but SHE put the wrong date on the orders and the lady at the lab didn't want to draw my blood because the last time she drew blood on a different day than the orders, the doctor called at her, screaming and belittling her. Eventually, I convinced the lady to draw my blood and that I would have her back. If I had a rare life-threatening condition and Dr. Ouyang was the only doctor know to successfully treat it, I still would not go back to see her. I would take my… chances with ANYBODY else.
