Dr. Ekanayake is a great physician. There are key differences between a whole-foods-plant-based diet and a vegan diet. Is soda vegan? Yes. Is soda plant-based? No. Dr. Ekanayake is passionate about helping patients become more aware of the health benefits of a whole-foods-plant-based diets. Ever since adopting a whole-foods-plant-based diet, my health has drastically improved and I no longer need my prescription medications. Thanks, Dr. E.

This person didn't care why I came, he had his on agenda. Does he get paid for everyone he tells about The Glorious Benefits to a Plant Based Diet? Never addressed why I came in, did not ask me any questions regarding why I was there. Wrote down names of videos to watch on `the net` to help me with the transition from animal based diet to a plant based diet, WHY? I am not, do not j.g ave an interest in, or will NEVER change to a plant based diet!

Horrible experience! He loves the sound of his voice! Asks question, but does not give time to answer, just keeps on talking and making assumptions

I went to see Dr. Ekanayke 1 time, one time was enough! Instead of diagnosing me or addressing the problem that I came into see him about, a pain radiating from below scapula right side to area below right breast, this quack informed me that I was looking for attention and Drugs! “I do not prescribe drugs!” stated Quack Ekanayke. Then after telling me that he does not prescribe drugs, he proceeded to tell me for the better part of an hour about the benefits of having a plant-based diet. I asked him do you mean a vegan or vegetarian diet? Quack Ekanayke corrected me, “Not vegan or vegetarian, a plant-based diet.” “Oh, plant based? So I can still drink milk, eat eggs and meat?” “ NO, I said plant based!” Irate Quack Ekanayke stated. I finally got out of Kaiser and saw a REAL DOCTOR! Pleurisy! The horrid, radiating pain, difficulty breathing that Quack Ekanayke diagnosed as wanting attention and drugs, is Pleurisy! Chest tube to remove fluid, antibiotics for the… inflammation, bedrest for a week and I’m feeling soooo much better! If I listened to this Quack, who knows where or how I would be right now. Seeing a real doctor, correct diagnosis, correct medication and I feel great!

Horrid experience! Kaiser allows 15 minutes per patient, this quack spent the better part of an hour lecturing on the benefits of a plant based diet! I came in to find out the reason for a nagging, almost constant pain below my right shoulder blade. Ekanayke quacked “I don’t give drugs!” “Excuse me? I said I want to find out the reason for the pain, I didn’t say anything about drugs!”, i said. At almost 70 yrs old and never did drugs, don’t think I’m going to start now! Didn’t matter to Dr. Quack, he proceeded to talk about a plant based diet. I asked if he meant Vegan? “No, I said plant based.” “Oh, I can eat meat, milk, eggs?” “ No, I said plant.” Oh, Vegan! Lol. Anyway, he gave me brochures on plant based diets. He gave me brochures that stated Vegan diets. He wrote down names of YouTube videos for the beginner Vegans. But, not Vegan, plant based! Lol. Dr. Quack’s nurse came in 2 times to tell Dr. Quack he was running over time. As she opened the door the third time,… Dr. Quack, in mid sentence, announced that we were finished and started toward the door. I stopped him and asked if he was going to do anything about my back? Once again Dr. Quack announced “I don’t give drugs!” and walked away! I was so mad, wasted hour for me and the people waiting! With his nurse walking behind me, as I walked out the door I slammed the worthless brochures in the first trash can I came to! Now, everyone at Kaiser, writes any contact with patient, in patients file to view on line almost as soon as the patient leaves. Not Dr. Quack! 2 weeks and nothing! I filed a grievance regarding this quack. Miraculously, 3 days after filling my complaint, Dr. Quack write volumes on my chart. Volumes of information Dr. Quack NEVER discussed with me but, according to the story on my chart, we discussed thoroughly. He ordered all kind of tests in different departments I knew nothing about! When I was in his office, he informed me that I did not have COPD or chronic bronchitis like other doctors have told me, including Kaiser doctors, they were all mistaken. Suddenly, on his made up story chart, my COPD Is so bad I have to see respiratory therapy department immediately. Something Dr Quack said I did not have! If all it takes to get a doctor to change his diagnosis of you is to complain, you need a better doctor/clinic!!

Dr. Ekanayake is one of the finest Doctors I have been in contact with. He has cared for my Father in Law for some years with reat care and service.
