Dr. Deepika Shangula

She does not care about you. Loves to hear herself talk. I went for sleep issues. She walks in and reads my medical history off to me that's completely unrelated to my sleep issues. After about 10min of her talking I had to interrupt and say "that's not why I'm here". She then FINALLY asks why I'm there. She ends up diagnosing me with a mental illness (grossly unqualified) after 15min of talking to me. Saw another doctor and she thinks I have Narcolepsy. Talk about incompetent! Even the nurses there told me they don't like her!

She has artificially inflated every time in her visitation notes to be at least twice that of the time actually spent with me. Clearly a gimmick to file a more complex office visit with insurance to boost her reimbursement. Not interested in continuing to see a physician as unscrupulous as that.

I am really surprised by these comments as I found Dr. Shangula to be absolutely wonderful! She answered all of my questions and trust me I had a lot! She was very warm and caring and explained everything to me so in detail so I felt comfortable!

Do not even waste your time with this Doctor. She is extremely dismissive of any questions you have and will not listen to the answers you give her. Multiple times I tried to explain my symptoms and she continued to repeat something completely different back to me. The only thing she did say was at least it is not cancer. I was not being seen for anything cancer related. I would not send my worst enemy to this woman.

Dr. Shangula’s bedside manner leaves little to be desired. When symptoms don’t fit into a perfect box, she is dismissive and insensitive. She makes the patient feel as if they have little credibility when in fact it’s her credibility that is in question.

This Hospital system says that educated patients are integral to providing better health outcomes and encourages its patients to ask questions. This doctor doesn’t like questions at all is quite intolerant. She is dismissive and insensitive. Worst ever.

I was referred to this Dr. early 2017 post horrific car wreck- not at fault. Severe TBI and experiencing numbness and tingling on the right side of my body including right arm And leg- during PT, nothing was addressed by this doc. It took her over a year to order a cervical MRI which led to the discovery of two herniated discs. Meanwhile- I’m out of work and can hardly dress myself. I had to get a doctor friend from out of state on the phone during one visit to get her to prescribe Gabapentine- which is not a narcotic. She is Wreckless and careless. She then tells me from A nuero perspective we are done, you done need to come back here. I’m like who is going to read my MRI? I didn’t go to med school. She then responds with .....“I’ll read it.” So we are NOT done. I’m currently with another doc now and pending steriod shot/epidural in my neck. This woman has caused me prolonged pain and loss of business - in returning to work. We are not done. You took an oath to provide care to your… patients and instead- the facts indicate, you really don’t care. It’s a numbers game. How many patients can you turn over. Just like a restaurant turns tables. It’s a business. Find another doc. This one is less then credible.

I feel very blessed to be in the care of Dr. Shangula. She discovered that I had a B12 deficiency that was causing tingling and pain, fatigue, and other symptoms, and she started me on treatment. I feel like Dr. Shangula really listened to me and took her time to carefully consider different possibilities for the cause(s) of my symptoms. I am very grateful to be a patient of hers and am looking forward to starting to feel better.

Keep paying Dr shangula for nothing... You have to no listen to your patients.....that's all I'm saying....you're not there to put words in patients mouths.. when they tell you what's wrong ..you should listen .. and access

dr shangula does not listen to her patients.. you tell her what youre there for and she repeats it back to you but with her own diagnosis.. so i came for my visit and this happened to me.. so i asked her manager to come in the room with me since dr shangula seems to not understand what i said was the reason i was being seen.. so while her manager is in the examining room with us.. dr shangula continued to not listen. and her manager asked her to stop interrupting me,, so i asked dr shangula if i can sever my ties with her as my neurologist and i asked for my records and in the records.. dr shangula LIED and stated that i came in searching for pain meds.... Mind you this is a nurologist appointment.. and i dont take pain meds.. I reported this to her manager , and i was given a copy of my records and was instructed to cross out the untruths and write the truth. This was not the procedure. IF YOU WANT HONEST MEDICAL CARE.. DONT GO TO DR SHANGULA!!!!!!!!!!!
