Summary
Dr Bland is from Iowa and finished residency training at the University of Iowa. She then did 1 1/2 years of fellowship training in urinary incontinence and pelvic prolapse in London, England. Following her fellowship she joined Dr. Parsons at Wake Forest University in 1993 where she was Head of Gynecology. She then became partners with Dr. Parsons in private practice at Blue Ridge Medical Associates. Continuing her interest in urogynecology, Dr Bland sees patients referred for problems with urine leakage and pelvic support. Her other interests include pelvic surgery along with general gynecology issues such as fibroids, problematic bleeding, abnormal pap smears and menopausal issues. Dr Bland is married with a son and a daughter. She enjoys yoga, sewing and running.
