Dr. Demetrios Halikiopoulos, DO

Dr. Halikiopoulos is very knowledgeable. He takes his time and is very thorough with his exam. He explains in detail. Office is very clean and beautifully decorated. I have recommended a lot of people to him and they all love him. Thank you for the great work and for being a person to your patients. Also appointment s are on time. You might have to wait 10 minutes and with the Covid-19 there's air cleaners in every room. Very clean and safe. Keep up the good work. His secretary is always with a smile. Love going there. I wouldn’t trust any other eye doctor but him with myself and my family. He’s thorough and shows appropriate amount of care - very experienced. Would recommend to anyone.

Dr. Halikiopolous is terrific. I am a health care attorney and I have a lot of options for locating good clinicians. This one is a keeper. His office is lovely, clean and efficient, and has parking. Most importantly, however, he is thorough, skilled and caring. He helped save my vision in one eye by rushing me to a nearby retina surgeon and getting them to take me right away. He keeps great records and does very thorough examinations. I have sent at least half a dozen members of my firm to have, and all have thanked me. P.S. I read one negative comment here claiming he told a patient to leave and go to the hospital across the street. I am sure that never happened. Not only is that not the kind of person Doctor H is, but there is no hospital within a mile of his office. Either the reviewer confused him with someone else, or is a crazy person.

Due to poor customer service I went to another ophthalmologist and they suggested that if my child had used a patch for a while, she would not have to wear glasses. She must now wear glasses at all times.

I've been seeing this doctor for almost 9 years. He is most competent and his eye examinations are thorough and comprehensive. He has a wonderful personality with a great bed side manner. He's done 2 eye surgeries on me and both were performed with precision accuracy. I am an ophthalmic practicioner and extremely selective when it comes to vision, especially my own. Dr. Halikiopoulos is kind, pleasant and precise. It's always a pleasure to visit his office.

Direct quotes from the physician on 12/24/15: "This is a private practice, I am not obligated to treat you" " I am leaving in half an hour and don't want to deal with this" "There is a hospital across the street" All of this because I didn't bring the insurance card. I agreed to pay for the visit and get reimbursed after the coverage is verified. At first he agreed, but later changed his mind. It was clear that the Dr. wanted to leave home early for the long weekend. Then why schedule this appointment to begin with, and waste everybody's time ??? The doctor was unprofessional and very rude!

I just had my third visit with Dr. Jimmy. He is the type of doctor that it is almost impossible to find, the kind that calls the eyeglass store to tell them what you need, the kind who calls the doctor he refers you to so that when you call that office, they expect you and have appointment times picked out and waiting. He spends WHATEVER amount of time is needed. The office is in a so so medical building but when you walk in- it's clean, bright, beautifully furnished and comfortable. There is no wait. His exam is complete and comprehensive. Everything is explained cheerfully. I cannot give a higher reccomendation!
