Dr. Denise Milagro Guevara, DO

Several people have described Denise Guevara as arrogant and uncaring. This is all true, but worse yet she is dangerous. My husband went to her for what he thought was a cyst. Dr. Guevara lanced it and sent him on his way with no biopsy being done. Clearly, he was not worth her time. It turned out to be a cyst but instead it was a melanoma, which would have been discovered if a biopsy had been done. He died 8 months later. A jury found her to be negligent and responsible on May 19, 2023.

Dr. Guevara RUSHED my appointment, DIDN'T LISTEN to my concerns, and was OVER AN HOUR LATE. She referred me to a laser center for my melasma that made my face WORSE! When I told her this she brushed it off. Go somewhere else!!

Dr. G was very patient and understanding of my needs. Also very informative, I am happy she is now in Boca!

Once again, I'm on time, she's not even at the office for a first of the day appointment. The waiting room is full. In two years, she's never been on time. While examining, she engages in personal conversations with the assistant. I've told her and her office manager of my disapproval to no avail. We've moved on. So many dermatologists to chose from. You should look elsewhere.

Dr. Guevara is a kind, caring MD. I would highly recommend her.

I agree with another reviewer 100%. This doctor is condescending and pompous. She takes it upon herself to critique other doctors treatment and insisted we follow her orders. When I declined, she became belligerent and shrill. She tries to make you feel like she knows it all and if fact, some of her info and instructions were completely wrong. Her ego gets in the way of quality patient care.

Everyone from the Doctor down to the front desk personnel is a total know-nothing. Don't waste time or money. Plus, the offices stinks.

I came to Dr. Denise M. Guevara Dermatology because she treats my grandmother. She has always shown her respect and listened to her concerns. Either my father or I go with her. Today I went and was be belittled because of the pain medicine I take that was prescribed by my RA Doctor Alex Lam. He understands Ehlers- Danlos Syndrome. Dr. Lam also did his residence in Ireland and also looks at alternative medicine. Dr. Denise has no idea, but yet plays as if she did, but got it completely wrong. While she was at it, she also informed me that my hematologist Doctor Witzniter had no idea about the medication he has prescribed for me, because he told me not to take the medication when I am on my period. She informed me that it wouldn't matter in the least. After she tried to make me feel some what inferior as well stupid for even being born with EDS, because at birth you can choose your own disease, she failed to tell me how to take care of the work she treated. By the way you missed two on… my foot. I will never return to this doctor again. Beware when she is nice she is very nice but when she is bad is horrid. Thank goodness for Dr.Lam, Dr.Witnitzer, Dr. Vila and the other great and awesome doctors who took the oath to practice the art of healing and to do no harm. They are out there helping people like you and I.
