Dr. Dennis F Kellar, MD

Spent 13 days in ICU due to Covid in January 2021. Almost passed. I feel I owe my life to a handful of doctors & ICU staff at the hospital (Good Shepherd), my primary Dr. Reilly & my pulmonologist Dr. Kellar/his NP Christine. Dealing with the effects of long-Covid, fried lungs and oxygen nightly. Just had my 6-month follow-up with Dr. Kellar who provided me with quality time & a detailed review of my post-Covid prognosis going forward. I appreciate the effort, concern & honesty he showed. His experience with Covid patients is invaluable.

I paid, and my insurance paid,and still the claims keep coming after 14 months. I tell my friends to go elsewhere. It's a big hassle and the staff shove you through. Phones and office too automated to be safe and you are treated like cattle.

Dr Kellar is a good doctor, but his billing department is impossible. They bill you for stuff they did not ship to "work" the insurance and then when they tell you they will credit it, they don't. They are impossible, even when you provide them their own documentation. Rude, non-reponsive, and will make you wish you went elsewhere.

I have had nothing but great experiences with both Dr. Kellar and his staff. I am definitely put at ease by him and grateful for his medical knowledge. Great experiences for both myself and my husband! I wish he could be my regular doctor! :)

At first, Dr. Kellar seemed like he cared, then my case got complicated and he got frustrated, even angry. He told me he did not know what to do with me, and shoved me out the door and told me to go elsewhere, that he could no longer help me - what doctor does that?! I had been sick an entire year, struggling to breathe, fevers, passing out, lack of air movement in my lungs - clearly there was something desperately wrong, but he did not have the patience or interest to deal with "complicated" cases. I suppose if your case is easy and straightforward, sure, he could be your guy. But who wants someone who will give up on you when you are desperately ill, and send you on your way, with a dismissive and frustrated attitude saying they can no longer help you because your case is "too complicated", as you are sitting there struggling to breathe?! His NP, Amanda is wonderful, she was better than he was. I'm enormously disappointed that his answer was not to keep trying, but to kick… patients out the door when their cases become too challenging for Dr. Kellar's limited experience.

Thorough exam and explanation of my health issues. I thought Dr. Kellar was exceptional. His assistant and front office staff were great.

From the procedure on...you can't get to a live person even after paging the "on call" doctor or leaving 12 messages in 3 days. WTH is going on with these people? I have never heard such and THEY ARE NOT PROVIDING HEALTHCARE.

Dr.Kellar, Melissa R....Receptionist & Office Manager and Dailynn G. CMA were arrogant and condescending to me. I had maybe 5 min. with the doctor between 2 visits total. I did not return after my 2nd visit. I felt like I was not wanted and only a number. Their insurance gal is not to smart. I looked at what they charged me & out of two visits she did not charge for a new patient or office visit so I got my 2 co pays back . They only charged for 2 tests done. They have issues. Stay away..
