Dr. Dennis Michael Marcus, MD

I switched to another eye specialist, as did three of his staff. He's rude, short and if you ask a question, he'll not answer it but come back with a short snip. He'll schedule visit after visit, as a 'follow-up' and do an eye exam each time to bill for. His staff was great; but he's a jerk, and think he walks a foot off the ground, no personality. The new one I'm going too takes the time to explain everything and answers all questions; what a difference.

Dr, Marcus has saved my eyesight

Dr. Marcus and his staff travel to many patients every week. They give great care in making sure we get the right treatment. He and his staff are caring and personable. They could just stay in the main office and make the patients travel, but they save us the time and travel.

I have been seeing Dr Marcus now for 3 years in his Toccoa Office. He truly cares for his pt's, also trust his staff. The wait is long ,but it is worth it, instead of driving to Augusta every month. I trust him with my sight...

Very knowledgeable-up to date on info/studies. Kind and considerate. Wait time is a problem but we trust him and would not go elsewhere.

Dr. Marcus was the most arrogant and rude doctor I have ever been to. He was completely unconcerned with my problem and was so insulting. My eyes are very sensitive and I can't stand for anyone to mess with my eyes. In fact my regular eye doctor, Dr. Bertram has done a couple of procedures on me in the past and he says I fight them when I am just given a sedative so I really need to be under general anesthesia for an operation on my retina. Dr. Marcus suggested that I go for therapy because most people do just fine with a sedative. What a jerk!!!! I left there in tears and would never ever go back or refer him to anyone.

Dr. Marcus really took the fine to talk to me about my options. I know there were a lot of people waiting and appreciated the time he took with me.

I'm sure Dr. Dennis is a very smart man, most quiet people are. When I wait through 4.5 hours of tests and wait time, I expect some kind of feedback. When you come in a room and look at me and rattle off some medical stuff to your assistant and just ignore my questions, I leave frustrated. When I get frustrated and stressed, my illness gets worse. I hate to look for a new doctor because he has been my doctor for 3 years. I just can't take the silence between us. It's you not me...

I really feel that him seeing a pt who was only 17 that had lost her vision completely the day before he would have been a little concerned but he wasn't but I guess it wasn't him or his child so who cares
