Excellent doctor....

My dad was a patient of Dr Orr’s first he came off as a really caring person. Until we needed him to attend my dad. He had bleeding from a cancerous tumor in his bowel which led to low hemoglobin which required transfusions. Our dads pcp drew labs showing hemoglobin at 7.3 they tried to reach him no returned calls between my sister the pcp and myself for 2 days and the np in the drs office finally said get him to the hospital! The surgery to remove the cancer went as planned. Until he was having pain it was blown off for days before action was taken again we complained no one would listen ct performed stated cannot rule at a leak no action taken until they were using Narcan to wake him up because he was in SEPTIC SHOCK! then it became an emergent situation my dad never recovered came out on a vent and died at the hands of several blunders even the day before he passed Dr Orr was persistent he was recovering and wanted to wean him off his pain meds after we made the painful decision to… put his vent. Beware although I cannot say my dad would live forever he surely had more life in him that was taken away from him and his family by this egomaniac!

I have been a patient of Dr. Orr’s for well over 6 months with 4 outpatient surgeries and multiple office visits. His beside manners are quick and not thorough with answering of questions before surgery. His office visits are even worse with one visit taking over 4 hours to be seen. I am writing this review as I am sitting again in his waiting room and have been for over 1.5 hours yet to be seen or updated. I will even say he came into my room once and reviewed my diagnosis where he was rambling on so quickly that I couldn’t even let him know he was talking to the wrong patient. My point is this, he may be ok in the surgery area as I have no complaints, but his thoroughness and respect of your personal time is every bit nonexistent. Very frustrated and will be glad when my time with Dr. Orr is complete. I’m obviously to far along to change now mid-stream. Just very frustrated. But I will refuse to pay my multiple 2-hour office visits. Wish you luck if you choose him. He will teach… you patience.

Dr Orr is a great Dr I love him he really cares for his parents I miss him as my Dr. but would recommend him to anybody who needs a great surgeon

Great doctor. No problems with surgery. Minimal scarring.
