Dr. Derek Glenn Bazemore JR., MD

I was falsely billed by Dr. Derek Bazemore & Hospital Emergency Physicians Solutions of South Florida (HEPS) for services not rendered. As deeply unethical as that is, they went a step further by not filing the charge for which they claim I am responsible with my insurance and sending bills demanding payment to an address of mine that was nearly a decade old. I only became aware of the "debt" when I recently applied for a mortgage and encountered a delinquency on my credit report, an issue that ultimately cost me 50 bps on my loan. I confronted HEPS about the inappropriate charge in hopes that they would do the right thing and set the record straight. Unfortunately, I was met with swift resistance & was quickly turned away. Although I've since disputed the charge with the various credit agencies & am considering my legal options, the damage is done and I am left to pick up the pieces. I strongly urge others seeking medical care to avoid Dr. Bazemore & HEPS because of their… unscrupulous business practices.
