I actually saw him only twice , he ordered nuclear three imaging x-ray on my left knee which is hurting. I guess I have to call for my own appointment to find out the results, everything I have to say is on Dr judds review which pertains to him too.cant say much about him until I see him again. Don’t know him well. I was told I had infections in my knees.among other various ailments I suffer from.We all expect to be treated with dignity and respect. I have been to ortho for years when Dr rovinsky was myDr. Before knee replacement exist, so I’m not totally in the dark .i hope he’s compassionate because I’m sick and tired of living with pain and feeling uncomfortable.

Dr Johnson is one of the best orthopedic surgeons I have known. I am extremely pleased on my results and more importantly his knowledge and surgical skill set. I would give him 10 STARS if I could. Highly recommend Dr Johnson..!

Dr. Johnson came highly recommended and we were excited to meet with him. Our visit would take 7 hours round trip which was made known when we scheduled the appointment. The woman on the phone asked who my insurance was with I told her, she said great we take that, I offered to send her a scan of my ins. card, she declined and said just bring it to my appt. I also noted that the website info indicated that my insurance was accepted. We arrived early I gave the front desk all of my paperwork and a CD of x-rays. I was called back to the desk and advised that they were no longer in "that" network, while they did take most from that provider they didn't take all. NO ONE mentioned that when I set up the appt. To add insult to injury I was asked if I wanted to keep my appt. to just have another opinion, but was reminded I'd have to pay that day for the "opinion". I advised them that it made no sense to pay for an opinion from a surgeon I could never use, not to mention that the 3 1/2 hours… to get home was now even worse. The Doctor's staff should no better, seriously at that point he should have seen me as a courtesy.

He was my daughters surgeon and frankly I didn’t trust him from the beginning. First of all, he was not listening to my daughters concerns about her hip, because she had two surgeries as a child and they were complicated ones. She had seen two orthopedic doctors and was advised that she may need a surgery after 18 years of age. So, he just did an X-RAY and set ready and go, lets do the surgery tomorrow, (that’s how it felt for me) without asking for previous records or doing an intensive MRI check. He thought it was going to be okay, an easy procedure that would take about 45 minutes. Which lasted twice as much and she has never been able to walk correctly and is with excruciating pain every day. He change practice so what did he care about a patient he left messed up. This is my opinion and I had to let it out.

This doctor had 6 to 7 months to suspect blood clots in my leg after surgery. After several follow up appointments and multiple questions regarding the continued swelling and pain in the leg, I finally went to the ER and was diagnosed with blood clots throughout the leg and pulmonary emboli. I stopped seeing this doctor and obtained another orthopedist. This is a serious case of malpractice.

Dr. Derek Johnson did my TKR. ZERO patient follow-up care. ZERO patient concerns post op. Won't address post surgery/rehab complications. Won't admit problems even after two different orthopedic doctors say a revision is necessary, his ego is in the way. I'm 16 months post-op and not blaming anybody. I just want to walk again! This guy is only interested in making money.

AWESOME !! Cannot say enough about Dr J and His assistant. He replaced both of my knees, one three months after the other. No complications at all. Both surgeries were a breeze, he was very kind, compassionate and GREAT bedside manner !! His post op pain control plan is the bomb, no issues at all. I am calling now to schedule my elderly mother with Dr Johnson, as she broke her wrist yesterday. Cannot express enough how wonderful and skilled this Dr is.

Office staff are excellent! Prompt, friendly, & attentive! Dr. Johnson is thorough & compassionate.
