Good person, kind, actually wants to talk to my child, and smart on top.

He's amazing. Really. He's warm, personable and really takes time to know and help his patients. Other psychiatrists usually do 15 minute med checks. This one spends a lot of time talking with his patients and follows up with parents, giving them detailed and helpful information. I'm glad he's my child's psychiatrist - I only wish he could be mine too!

I'll keep it short, just personable and kind. Can crack a joke but be serious when he has to be. Kind and takes time to explain things. Just a great guy!

I've been looking for a child psychiatrist for some time for my child, and I had several run in with NPs and doctors that frankly weren't good. Dr. Smith was kind, patient and able to laugh, which really helped. He cares deeply about his patients and I can't recommend him highly enough!

Kind, considerate, and always willing to give my family the time to discuss our concerns. Dr. Smith displays and incredible amount of consideration and empathy that we were sorely in need of. He has bent over backwards to get letters completed and find additional referrals as necessary, and always was available for any additional needs we had. I cannot say enough about how wonderful he is!

Dr. Smith takes that time to listen, and was able to provide a diagnosis that had been missed by 2 doctors before I saw him! The clinic had some trouble with the appointment, but the rest of the time was fantastic.

Dr. Leroux Smith was disorganized in managing my mother's care. He frequently would forget to give her refills of her antidepressant, so she would have to call the office months prior to her next appointment and hound them just to get her prescription. His area of interest is addiction medicine (per what I've found online about him), which I believe clouds his judgement when working with patients who responsibly use anxiolytics. My mother has taken a QUARTER tablet of an anxiolytic for years (only once or twice a month) if she has a panic attack. He proceeded to lecture her about her use of this medicine before realizing how little she actually used it. Had he bothered to actually read her patient records, I doubt it would have even come up. She left his office in tears and found a new provider shortly after.
