Dr. Derek Allan Taggard, MD

My husband has had back pain for a while now with numbing sensations down his legs. Had an mri done showing the root of the issue. Was seen by his PA asking the same questions over and over. Taggard finally comes in just to tell us that he can’t help him. Maybe his PA could have told us this instead of wasting our time there for over an hour! Don’t waste your time on an arrogant surgeon who will tell you he can’t help you!

I’m sure Dr Taggard is a qualified physician but after telling me there was nothing that could be done for my condition, proceeded to spend the next half hour venting about an expensive cat his wife had her eye on. I should send a bill for my time.

He and his staff were about the worst medical professionals that I have dealt with. I went in for back pain and he said that I don't need surgery. He told me to just deal with the pain. I told him that he should have called me just to tell me no instead of making me drive two cities over.

Dr Taggard operated on my husband over 7 years ago. He was professional, thorough, and had great bedside manner. To this day, my husband is pain free and has gone on to live a normal life. We are so appreciative of his talent. I will never forget our experience.

Dr. Taggard did surgery on my spine . Did a fusion and I have had no problem since. I highly recommend him.

Wonderful surgeon! Very thorough about explaining the procedure. Always prompt and on time. Dr Taggard has a wonderful sense of humor. He always remembered little details that made his care so much more personal- I never felt like just another faceless patient like I have with other doctors. I will never trust another surgeon with my back!

Dr. Taggard did two of my surgeries six months apart. Dr. Taggard is extremely professional, caring, and personable, he takes time with you, makes sure you dont have any questions.. The entire staff is awesome, I could not say enough good things about every person involved in my surgeries, I trust Dr. Taggard and his professional oppinion 100 % and would recommend him to everyone. If I ever am in need of future surgeries I hope I am blessed enough to have him as my surgeon. I am so very greatful to be out of pain so Thank-YOU Dr. Taggard and the entire staff at SNMG

Dr. Taggard did my spinal fusion 9 years ago...I had 4 vertebrae fused as a result of a horse fall accident. Fusion was not a choice and I was close to not ever walking again. 9 years later I am more active than I have ever been. I ride horses again, do vinyasa yoga weekly, and am planning the Half Dome Hike. Dr. Taggard if you ever get a chance to read this-Thank You. I am greatful to you every day.

He was prompt and accurate. He was polite and explained my diagnosis well in a way i could understand because i am a little slow. i would recommend doctor Taggard to anybody. he was very nice and genuine.
