She is really good. But always late and have to wait at least one hour for a 10 minutes appointment.

She is kind and compassionate, while an excellent doctor. When I met with her she was very generous with her time and put all of my concerns at ease. I would highly recommend her.

With my first pregnancy,I have had a perfectly normal pregnancy with no complications and no health issues. But despite of that, Dr.Otto made things complex, I couldn't possibly understand why it was happening to me. First off with the appointments - the nurse at the office schedules appointments as soon as you are done with your fist appointment, which is great. But with my busy schedule at work, if I have had to wait for 40 to 60 minutes for almost all the visits. For all the routine visits with the doctor until my 34 week, we talked for not more than 10 minutes (which was fine with me since I didn't have much to ask with a healthy pregnancy ). But I was spending 2:30 hours out of my schedule just for a 10 minute visits - which sucks!! At the end I was going for weekly visits. During my 37 th week, with a routine vaginal check for dilation, Dr.Otto without letting me know a word, she disturbed the mucus plug. I never understood why she had to do that. After the examination,… she tells me I will deliver faster now that the mucus plug is disturbed (what??) I was surprised at what she had done without telling me. I go home that friday, and sure enough the mucus plug is discharged on Saturday and my water broke on Sunday (???). Now I go to the hospital, and they talk to Dr.Otto and ask me to be put on petocin. Having had a family history of perfect deliveries in two hours and no hospitalization, I felt like a cancer patient when the nurse started to put me on IV and petocin. Coming from a Asian background, it is very unusual for me to be admitted in the hospital with all the needles in my hand (which somehow seems to be very common in USA). When Dr.Otto arrived sometime later, I asked her what was petocin and why it is given to induce contractions. She immediately rules it out saying, a delivery is a delivery and it really doesn't matter if my pains came naturally or induced. I do not have the expertise to contradict Dr.Otto, but my gut feeling says, a normal pregnancy should never be messed up with. On the positive note, Dr.Otto always has a smile on her face and doesn't make you feel rushed.

Having looked at the good reviews I waited for almost 2 months to get in with Dr Otto as a new patient. In the first visit, without any physical check up, looking at my lab reports, or getting any tests done, she straight off wanted to put me on chlomid just based on my description of irregular periods she termed me "infertile". That was heart breaking but I was not convinced that I wanted to jump to conclusions as quickly and without lab results. On my insistence we I got an ultrasound, blood work etc. and everything looked fine. She then reasoned that there is not always a reason for infertility! Well, I in the first place was unclear why she was pusing me towards that and as I questioned the diagnosis she suddenly seemed tuned off. In my 2nd visit to her office, she never got seated and the entire visit was interrupted by her sudden exits from the room. Even when she came in, she looked mentally elsewhere and finally just asked me to keep trying and see her "if" I got pregnant -… almost challenging me to. I came back and started using BBT and ovulation sticks. based on the last couple of months of charting I know I ovulate and am not infertile (plus the ultrasounds were perfectly fine too). I conceived this month without any help and unfortunately got spotting in a few days. i was worried and called her office but no appointment was available with her until the next few weeks. I checked for her nurse and the receptionist still wanted me to see an infertility nurse, that too after a couple of days as irregular bleeding was not urgent enough? Also they wanted "me" to tell them why I was bleeding - if it was a miscarriage or something else, to be able to set up an appointment correctly. I have had enough and will be looking elsewhere for managing my conception.

Dr. Otto is wonderful doctor, No complaints at all.
