She is patient, compassionate, and deeply knowledgeable. Her expertise is strongly influenced by her holistic approach to medicine and to the individual patient. She is on top of research and combines traditional medicine beautifully with emerging practices and techniques unknown/unused by many physicians. She spends a great deal of time with her patients, especially during annual physicals. She shows deep concern and interest in her patients’ lives and stories, in an empathetic and personal way. As with physical heath, her approach to mental health is just as informed and insightful. She considers all aspects of the patient as crucial to overall health. You will never feel judged or intimidated by her. After a 20 minute meeting, you will walk out armed with information, strategies and techniques to improve your well-being.

Dr. Balasubramanian has a very broad medical knowledge. She is thorough in her exams, and is an extremely warm and caring doctor. I am thrilled that she is my internist.
