Dr. Devin Christopher Flaherty, DO

The care I received from Dr. Flaherty and his team was of the best! From my first appointment, throughout surgery, and in recovery, they all went above and beyond to make everything as smooth and painless as possible. I would recommend them to anyone, but especially if medical issues and hospitals cause you anxiety. Dr Flaherty explains everything to you in a clear and reassuring way. He takes his time and describes every step without making it sound scary, and does it in such a way that even the layman can understand. I felt a lot more confident and calm going into an operation than I ever thought possible. He and his team all checked in and met with me before the surgery, and were extremely kind. They showed every concern for my health and comfort and they were always ready to answer any questions or concerns I had, even if they seemed trivial. Afterwards, they made sure to follow up frequently on my recovery, so I never felt unsure of what to do or nervous about the… recovery process. I don’t think I can fully express my gratitude to them for all they have done for my health and peace of mind!

Dr. Flaherty took my grandma's case on and has done amazing things since day 1. Dr. Flaherty was very down to earth and spoke clearly making sure we understood everything. Then my grandma needed surgery and Dr. Flaherty did such a good job on the procedure and even went above and beyond making sure that he gave my grandma the best chance that he could! I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Flaherty and his team!

I have nothing but praise for Valley Health Surgical Oncology and Dr. Devin Flaherty, DO. The pain management from start to finish of my major surgery exceeded all my expectations. I experienced nothing worse than soreness from my tumor removal and bowel resection. No complications or problems with recovery or function. Dr. Flaherty has my highest recommendation.

Dr. Flaherty and his staff were top notch taking care of me during my surgery. I had a colon resection done and I could have never asked for a more excellent doctor and staff on my care. From the first appointment with Dr. Flaherty who was very knowledgeable and knew his stuff. to the actual surgery and then the after surgery appointments. He was wonderful and it was far more than you would normally get from any other doctor. Would recommend him to anyone for surgery. Not to mention he is very handsome as well!

Dr. Devin Flaherty is a great doctor who truly cares about each individual that he sees. He spends as much time as needed with his patients to answer questions and to explain what needs to happen next for their care. He is very knowledgeable, and he makes sure that the patients understand what he is talking about. I never imagined that I would be seeing a surgical oncologist. From the first time I met Dr. Flaherty during my hospital stay, I knew he was friendly, caring, and concerned about me. Later on, he did my surgery to remove a mass that was not cancer. Thank God.
