Dewey Herbert Bridger III

I have been Dr. Bridger’s patient for six years. My husband is a military retiree so we have a history of seeing a lot of military doctors. When we retired and came home NHRMG was one of the few practices that accepted Tricare so we chose Dr. Bridger. We have never regretted that choice. He is always friendly, concerned, and caring. He listens to what we have to say and if he does not know the answer to a problem he refers us to another doctor who does. I would recommend Dr. B to anyone.

Dr Bridgers has been my physician for a few years. He is very professional, listens to my concerns. I never feel rushed during my appointments.

I recently moved to Wilmington and was looking to become established with a Family Practitioner in the area. I also needed a scuba diving physical and some meds for a trip I was taking to Africa. New Hanover Medical Group was close so I made an appointment with Dr. Bridger. The staff was adequately polite, but Dr. Bridger was another story. Throughout the entire 5 minutes he spent with me, he was hardly attentive and very rushed. He didn't ask me any questions about my medical history; he just flew through the dive paperwork I had brought for him to sign and did a very hasty exam. He basically just assumed I was healthy and tried to get onto the next patient ASAP. Bottom line - if there had been something wrong with me, he would have missed it. I was just a number. If you value an excellent patient-doctor relationship, find medical care elsewhere.

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The wait was way too long! When I got into the room I swear they forgot about me because I sat there for what seemed an hour. When the doctor finally got into the room he did not seem to care about what I was telling. He said I most just has a sinus infection. I decided to get a second opinion and it turns out I have strep. I will never return to this office again.
