Dr. Dhiman Basu, MD

ABSOLUTE waste of my time. I have been a patient here for 3 or so years. No more. I live 2 hours away, so appointments for me are an all day event. I was scheduled at 1:30pm for my infusion. I am always there on time, but the system takes forever to load and normally makes me late. They don’t usually call me back for at least 20-ish minutes anyways (FOR INFUSIONS...). I was late by 5 minutes, and their system wouldn’t load properly.. making me 10 minutes late. When I was about halfway through with my “check in”, the system kicked me out and stated my appointment had been canceled. I immediately called the front desk to explain the situation. Little sympathy was given from the receptionist. She supposedly talked to the nurse (which I doubt) and came back on the line very quickly. She then asked me the make, model, and color of my car. I knew she was checking the security cameras to make sure my story lined up, which is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. When she came back on… again, she informed me that the nurse was “too busy” to see me and to come back Monday. I declined immediately, stating I no longer require their services. Keep in mind, I have waited for HOURS just to be put in a patient room to wait possibly ANOTHER hour just to see Dr. Basu. I never have complained, I just went with it. I can NEVER predict how long his appointments will take, and he seems entirely too distracted to care about every patient. I recently had my blood work come back showing I was extremely elevated in a category, which he didn’t mention at my follow up appointment at all. I had to bring it up to him, and he just said I needed an aggressive diet. Never asked about it again, always looks at my blood work and says “this is good, and this is good, and this is good...” without breaking anything down. Don’t mistake my words, he’s a wonderful person and doctor. He just is completely overworked and his staff is not friendly at all. I always have to initiate conversation with them, otherwise it’s awkward silence the whole time. I think the only staff member who has been kind to me without prodding is Natalie Pachinger. On top of everything, I reached out to get my records transferred to a new doctor. They require me to walk into their clinic to get a release form, and they are not budging on this. I will not go back here kindly if this is the only way. I will be searching around for contact information of the Practice Manager, and let them know of this horribly unprofessional clinic.

Dr. Basu makes me feel like he really wants to take good care of me and that he wants to work as a team for my health. I am very grateful for him!

I am a caregiver for my mother. She has been seeing Br. Basu for many years and has always been pleased with him as a doctor. He helped her get setup on a Remicade infusion treatment, which has been a God sent miracle for her. Unfortunately, his office management has been and still is unbearably horrible. I have complained numerous times to the staff, the office manager, even him about the horrible service and extremely long wait times to no avail. This last appointment my mother arrived 30 minutes early, we filled out her history AGAIN, 45 minutes after her scheduled appointment time she finally went to an exam room where we waited another 45 mins. He still had two patients to see before us at this point. I cancelled my 90 year old mother's appointment and took her home. She had been in the office from 9:30 to 11:30 at that point. Sorry but this will not happen again, looking for new doctor now. P.S. I ask them to send me a referral, but I'm not holding my breath on that one. This… is sad because I believe him to be a very capable doctor.

I have been to Dr. Basu for 10 years, and perhaps he is the best doctor I have ever seen. He has caught so many other things while going to him: Anemia after a heart attack, low kidney function, Osteoprosis, and more. I love his personality, he does his own dictation. The office has always been good, but there has been turnover. Waiting time has been up and down, he is worth the wait. Megan, P.A. is really good, too.

I haveo seen Dr. Basu in the past at his North Richland Hills office the wait was and as I read the reviews still is. He goes through a new staff every 6-8 months I refuse to pay to be treated so badly and passed over. This k you for the reviews.

I am not sure of my DX because of psyatica and fibro myalgia . The only thing I wish Dr. Basu would do for me would be to find a more specific DX so that it can b fixed and I can go back to work. I can't say enough about the promptness of the excellent staff, the best there is. I like to think Dr.Basu and Megan have gotten to know me.

The wait is always longed to see him the first appointment I waited 2 hours past my appointment time the second visit was an hour past my appointment time. And when you ask questions about what he's prescribing or what's going on he acts like he is offended

Your wait depends on what time your appt is. The Dr and Staff are very caring. I finally got a correct diagnosis and am now improving at a steady pace.

went to three other Dr's before one could actually diagnose me, that was a pleasant Dr to visit and would explain things to me. just like most Dr's that are a specialist, you need to make sure to have your questions ready and he will gladly answer them and talk to you

It is totally ridiculous to have a wait time of over two hours!!! This has happened every time I go. It's as if the patient time is not important. I was told the reason for the long wait time is because he double books his appointments! Really! What Doctor does that. I will be finding another dr. I actually feel sorry for the staff because all I hear every time I go is them apologizing to the patients for the wait.
