Dr. Dhiren Arvind Shah, MD

He prescribes bad drugs he is not familiar with, dismisses the outcomes and does not push forward to try new treatments. He's a dismissive bum with a thin waist and questionable academics amd ethics. Avoid this price or he'll tell you to complain to his manager and not renew lifesaving, albeit bad, drugs.

Dr. Dhiren Shah is very rude and arrogant. After a colonoscopy, the diagnosis was colon cancer. When we tried to get more information, he was dismissive, lacked empathy, and gave very little facts and support. He called after the procedure and announced it was cancer. When asked questions, he gave minimal support and said to consult a surgeon.

My experience with Dr. Shah was one I’d like to forget! He was rude and pompous. He made us feel worse about our situation!

I just had my first colonoscopy with Dr Shah. He did an outstanding job. The whole experience at glenbrook hospital with Dr Shah and staff was flawless. I was very nervous before the procedure and Dr Shah and nurses were very calming. I am so grateful that I had the procedure done at glenbrook with Dr Shah. Highly recommended.

I've had two endoscopies with Dr. Shah and two with my surgeon. Trust me, Dr. Shah knows what he's doing - I had NO symptoms following my endoscopy except a slight sore throat. With my surgeon, I woke up (both times) had a terrible sore throat for several days and bad, painful gas pains for two days. Dr. Shah is an expert at what he does - thanks!

Dr Shah has a great personality, and has been very accurate in diagnosing specific issues due to Crohn's. However, he pushes for the strongest medications, which in turn have the most occurances of, and most dangerous side effects. There does not seem to be any middle ground. It may be a fear of lawsuits, I don't know, but immediate escalation to the nastiest treatments is not always necessary.
