Dr. Diana Truong Blake, MD

This woman is not a good doctor. I do not care that this is public because she’s not a good doctor and if this review helps someone not waste their time with her then good. She refused to help me in literally any way that I asked her to. I asked her for a referral to pain management. After almost 3 weeks and no clinic call, I asked them what happened and I got this whole thing about “you’re too close to when your surgery was , your surgeon is the only one who can” okay cool. Surgeon did it. Then I asked her for a referral to hematology for my consistently abnormal labs and she literally told me no that she wouldn’t even try because hematology at baptist was backed up. There’s more than one hematologist in Lexington. Then had the gall to say since I had had a FEW normal labs in 3 years that there was no point. Just to paint the picture , out of the last 80 or so blood draws I’ve had since late 2017, I’ve had about 5 MAX labs come back not abnormal (really just not as abnormal but… still pretty off) so that there was no point. Ok whatever. So I asked for a referral to an orthopedic doctor or surgeon. Was once again told NO because she felt I needed neuro and not orthopedic. Despite having done neuro for over a year and having a failed surgery. My nerves aren’t trapped anymore but my bones are deteriorating. I have DDD, facet arthropathy and a plethora of other issues in my spine as well as bone Spurs all over. Have had more than on er doctor say I needed orthopedic but none the less she said no. So I requested that she sent me to a different neuro than the one I’d previously been going to as they made a mistake in my medical records that they never apologized or took accountability for. She agrees and then not only sends me to the same practice but the SAME surgeon himself. Anytime I asked her for small prescriptions to control my pain (I would typically ask when the flare ups were becoming unbearable )while awaiting pain management I was refused and directed to go to the ER. Who would want t spend hours at the ER for a flare up when they have a doctor who is well within her rights to prescribe. Why do I not deserve to be able to wake up with a flare and just be able to take medicine? No amount of begging , pointing out that I was wasting my life I. The ER , explaining that I’d had so much ibuprofen that I feared I’d developed an ulcer. Despite the fact that the max dosages not even halfway through the lain weren’t relieving it by any amount. None of that matter. I could literally say “please don’t tell me to take more Tylenol” to get the response continues with supportive meds like Tylenol and ibuprofen or go to the ER” THEY ARE NOT SUPPORTIVE MEDS IF THEY HAVE NO AFFECT ON WHAT THEY ARE HSED FOR! I know this was a long post and I could’ve easily just said don’t waste your time with her, but having details always helped me more than just a few sentences. Moral of the story is if you want a doctor whose going to refuse to do anything you ask and tell you to continue a medicine after max dosage that’s not working to begin with, she’s your gal. If you wanna feel respected as a patient and like a human being, I STRONGLY recommend to do not go to this doctor.

Dr Truong is excellent. She listens and cares and is very thorough. I would recommend her to anyone.
