Dr. Diana Boettger Twiggs, MD

Dr. Twiggs is an excellent physician. She listens, does not over-prescribe and is very polite to me. Most importantly, she heals me. It's well-known that doctors' office staffs are often less than stellar. Given the staff changes in this office over the years, I believe this is s problem she works on. I can't believe reviewers smear Dr Twiggs when it's the staff causing the problems. Did you know Dr. Twiggs is a Past President of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians? She is respected by her peers and MOST of her patients.

My wife made an appointment 2 months ago. Now the office is saying they did not screen to see if they would take her insurance? GET REAL! My wife has CVID (Common Variable Immune Disorder) and is usually in dire need of antibiotics. The fact that they did not screen for her insurance in completely inexcusable. These are some pretty sorry folks! If the office treated my wife like that, imagine how Dr. Twigg would ignore her care also. GOOD RIDENCE! Sorry excuse for a medical office. I would likely had to file against the doctor for mistreating my wife anyway.

I saw Dr. Twiggy once and was rotated to her PA Kim Bibb, she gets a little defensive if have an opinion about your own care. I needed refills for blood pressure medications and she told me to have pharmacy email her, so I did. There was no response from Ms. Bibb so I emailed Dr. Twiggy ( this won't let me spell her name right)she responded I need to work with my pharmacy, well no kidding, you need to teach your employee some manners.

Some of the rudest, most indifferent "professionals" I've ever encountered. The one thing they can be consistently relied on to do is close for lunch. Go elsewhere unless you a) suffer abuse gladly and b) don't mind doing their work for them.

I've been a patient of Dr. Twiggs for over six years and have had a good relationship with her. Unfortunately I recently asked for a form to be filled out for my insurance company and when calling the office specifically stated that I did not want to be charged for this service. I was told to come into the office and they would fill out the form. They instructed me to be seated in an exam room and then they made a few vital checks and filled out my form. Unfortunately they charged my visit to my insurance company as a physical exam and now the only way for me to actually get a physical exam is to pay a co-pay and there may be additional charges if my insurance refuses to pay for any lab work associated with my real physical. This whole mess could have been avoided if they were up front with me and said yes there is a charge to fill out a form. Absolutely unwilling to take responsibility for giving me incorrect information about filling out a form.

This was a very positive experience and am a little baffled by some of the previous negative reviews. I was received promptly, staff was very accommodating and nice... Dr. Twiggs was friendly, courteous, attentive and listened thoroughly, made direct eye contact, extremely conversant, and professional. I feel that I am in very good hands and looking forward to seeing her again.

MY HUSBAND HAD AN APPT. HE IS IN HIS 70S. HE DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT THE OFFICE PEOPLE WANTED OF HIM ON HIS PAPERWORK. THEY TOLD HIM THEY DID NOT TAKE AN INSURANCE AND WANTED HIM TO SIGN A PAPER. HE WOULD NOT SIGN AND LEFT WITHOUT SEEING ANYONE. THE OFFICE PUT OUT A NOTICE TO OTHER BAPTIST PROVIDERS TO NOT SEE HIM AS A PATIENT. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. NOT GOOD WITH ELDERLY.

I was shocked to read the reviews on Dr. Twiggs. I found her very polite and she listened to my concerns. She did her best to accommodate me. She is the best I have found on this Island.

Dr. Diana Twiggs is NOT a good doctor! She has very poor bedside manners and quickly develops an attitude if you ask any questions. I will not go back!

After spending years as her father in law patient it was a sad day when I realized she just wasn't like him, she came nowhere close to having the medical skills I had learned over the years from being a patient. She's rude, doesn't want you involved with your care. She told me that she did not need my opinion on what my problem was, diagnosied me wrong and two days later I ended up with emergency gallbladder surgery. She's stubborn, willful, and will not change her diagnosis even when it is proven wrong. She's more of a child with a doctor kit than anything else. I wouldn'take my neighbor's dog to her. However the PA, Art Forbers was great and the new doctor Francis DeCandis is a wonderful doctor, Mayo Clinic experience and truly a gentleman who shows a good deal of concern about his patients.
