Dr. Diane Michelle Horowitz, MD

I had a recent visit with Dr. Horowitz for joint pain and severe leg pain. She was very caring and took time to listen to my concerns. She did her best to me. I would definitely recommend her to my friends and families.

Dr. Horowitz is by far the best doctor I've had. She is very thorough and takes the time to explain your condition.

Dr. Horowitz is the best doctor I have ever seen. She knows the right questions, makes the right diagnosis and finds the best treatment. Does NOT run the office like a factory. Takes the time needed with each patient.

Horrible woman. Very rude & condescending. Acted as if she was above answering any questions or discussing her care plan with me for myself. I would not recommend you put yourself through a visit with this woman. I wish I could get all my money back, I'm now seeing another doctor whom I love & is very supportive & informative.

waited 6 weeks for an appt. no sense of urgency. She was 45 minutes late to an afternoon appt, even tho the office was completely empty due to bad weather early that morning. No apology or explanation for the long wait in a cold room while undressed for an exam. She typed into a computer on the opposite side of the room, asked a couple questions, ignored my concerns - worse dismissed obvious symptoms and past positives. Ms Horowitz ran a bunch of unnecessary blood tests and called 3 weeks later to tell me I had a "low muscle enzyme". She never said what test came back with that result, I picked up the test results earlier and nothing in the results showed that abnormality so she may have just made it up. Never heard of anyone with this diagnosis. She never mentioned what treatment she would seek but wanted me to get a chest X-ray and return - already had X-rays and CT scans. Don't waste your time with bad doctors like this. They ignore your symptoms, likely causes and then… make up bogus diagnosis. One of the first thing she said was 'Rheumatology is the last place you end up when doctors don't know what you have'... Some introduction, lady. Well, my infection spread to my brain and spinal fluid. I've been living with 3 years of chronic conditions because the people who play doctor whom you trust to accurately diagnosis and treat you, don't give a crap or know an adequate course of antibiotics. There was no mystery illness or "low muscle enzyme" I told her (and other crappy doctors at North Shore LIJ/Northwell) what the likely disease was and they failed to treat it - or even demonstrate a basic level of medical care. If you suspect any serious illness that requires swift and accurate care, do NOT use this person or hospital. The best experienced doctors are in Manhattan. This woman should not call herself a doctor and should find a new career before she harms another patient's health. Whatever she studied and trained for, was a worthless. Get a second opinion if you plan on using this one.
