Dr semer is a life saver literally. She will explain in terms you understand. I would not want someone else handling mycare

Dr. Semer performed a hysterectomy on me along with removing ovarian cancer spots. Long story short, I ended up being treated at CTCA. They perfomed a CT scan and compared it to the one Dr. Semer ordered (before surgery). Doctor at CTCA saw a mass that WAS on the previous CT that Dr. Semer just decided not to remove during my surgery for some unknown reason. She also failed to mention that to me. I would never see her again!

Dr. Semer was very compassionate with what I was going through and explained everything to me that I needed to know. From some of the reveiws I’ve read, I did not see my 2 years going to her unenjoyable. I can honestly say she is very knowledgeable and I received the best care from her and staff working with her. I will say if you go to her, her goal is to heal and remove cancer, I went to her at Leo Jenkins Cancer Center and highly recommend. As far as quality and bedside manner, she was awesome and always available when I had any questions or concerns.

Dr. Semer has NO Bedside manners and continuously demeans her patients by her condescending and sarcastic comments. As for her medical stance, she is horrific. She decides not to biopsy a tumor I had nor do an emergency removal although it was highly recommended by radiologists and doctors of the internal medicine team because she was almost certain that it was benign. Even after the tumor ruptured, she still insisted not to do an emergency removal. Fast forward, the surgery happens 6 weeks later and I am diagnosed with metastatic ovarian cancer with a widespread in my stomach and intestines. I was given only days to live at Vidant however, my son transported me for a 2nd opinion to another hospital. Due to her negligence and failure to provide the standard of care, my life will be ending in weeks. The doctors stated that if it was removed when we first visited her office, I would not be in my present state. In addition, if she had did emergency surgery upon the rupture, I would not… be in this present state. She had two or more opportunities to provide the Standard of Care all other Doctors would provide, however she failed due to her pompous and mammoth EGO. Dr. Semer should and will lose her medical license. I cannot believe she has been in this field for so long. Not only is she terrible, but she also stated to my son after he explained to her about the white jacket syndrome that I possess, “We (team of doctors) can take off our white jackets but we can’t take off our “ white face!” This is one of several sarcastic and borderline racial comments by the professional Doctor, Diane A. Semer. I would not recommend her for any surgery. She has the wrong spirit and energy.

The most cold and disengaged 'doctor' I have ever had the misfortune to have to see. She needs to get out of her practice because she has a sadistic approach and that is how she is teaching others. You feel like a lab rat. That is as nice as it can be said.

She's not confident in her answers, she plays guessing games. She confuses you and doesn't put your mind at ease.

Caring, compassionate, and thorough.

I have seen Dr. Semer 6 times now for cancer and i am changing to a new Dr. I have had enough of her sarcastic remarks when i see her. Had enough! Tryed to give me chemo with rad, had only the rad and came out fine. Does not seem to care about me and my feelings.

I have been going to Dr. Semer for almost 20 years. She is a very good doctor and cares for her patients.

our mom died in 1993 from peritoneal ca., after dr. semer told our mom she did not have cancer. hope she has improved, as lives depend on it.
