Dr. Diego Carlos Saavedra, MD

My family has appreciated being in Dr. Saavedra’s practice for years, and now we are more grateful than ever. My husband was just discharged from the hospital after being treated for COVID 19 there for two weeks. Prior to hospitalization when my husband was sick and isolated at home for a week, Dr. Saavedra monitored him by telemedicine conferences, phone calls, and texts, and answered my questions and our daughters’ questions throughout every day and into the night. Once the illness got to the point where my husband needed to be hospitalized, Dr. Saavedra continued to be available to help our family understand what was happening with the treatment and to help me know what questions to ask the doctors at the hospital, also how to prepare our home for my husband’s eventual discharge. Now that my husband is at home and back in isolation here, Dr. Saavedra continues to care for him, check on his progress, and respond to any need that we have for medical advice and guidance. He has been… faithful and caring as well as medically current, insightful, and imminently professional in helping our family deal with this difficult time. We are so incredibly grateful to him.

Probably the worst physician I’ve ever seen. Total lack of bedside manner, abrasive, and totally out of shape. More concerned about weight loss programs at the clinic than actual medical patients.

Excellent in his medical field and always takes time to listen to you complaints on you visit my husband and I both use him and we would recommend him to others who want a excellent doctor for you health.

My husband and I, and both of our adult daughters, have been patients of Dr. Saavedra for a number of years. Between the four of us, we bring a large number of complex medical conditions to him. He is skilled and thorough as a physician, caring as a person, and wise in his referrals. We greatly appreciate his medical care for our family.

At the age of 27, I had to choose a primary physicians for work insurance. I asked around friends who worked at both Baptist Hospital and South Miami Hospital and Dr. Saavedra's name kept popping up, "As a the doctor who cared about his patients". To this day, I as well as my husband are both his patient, friend and feel as part of a family in his practice. He has an amazing staff that always greets you with a Good Morning or a smile on their faces. The office manager Jody, is a God Sent Angel. If you ever have any issues with your insurances or just want to talk to her, that door is always open. I am thankful for his concern for our health and friendship. After 30 years of being his patient we both feel, my husband and I... that Dr. Diego C. Saavedra has always, taken care of us as he would take care of his own family. New to the area and needed a primary doctor. Had lots of mainly good reviews. Waited long despite very few patients there. No one had anything positive to say about Dr. Saverda. Rushed. Ordered tests. Came and went. Did not give me confidence. Will look for a new doctor.

This doctor had his use give two vaccines without asking for consent or explaining what they were for and the risks or benefits. He just took it upon himself to issue these as I am sure he charges the insurance company a pretty penny for them.

We moved from Miami to Orlando 8 years ago, and we still missing him. My husband and I , and we just loved this DOCTOR. Lo extranamos mucho.

I went a few weeks ago as a new patient. I have had pains in my back, shoulders, and neck. After an "evaluation" he recomended PT and blamed it on aging (I am 31). I believe I have something worth being taken serious but he was hesitant to recommend an xray or MRI. Honestly comes off as a nice guy but I feel I was not taken as seriously as I should have.
