Dr. Dierdre Tanecia Young, MD

***BEWARE*** "Dr." D. T Young is NOT a doctor who cares about her patients and deserves negative (below zero) stars if she treats them the same way she has treated me. I had to see her due to my other McLeod PCP was not available. I paid her $200 just to refill my HBP medications, which I am on three of them. However, when I got to the pharmacy, it had not been called in yet, which could have caused me health problems due to it being after hours on a Friday. I then sent her a message and she was upset that I bothered her while she was off. When I continued going to another doctor, she personally called my pharmacy and withdrew my refills, which could cause me more health problems. At no time did she let me know that she did this so I could have my other PCP to re-call in my HBP medications. McLeod is a wonderful hospital, but doctors like "Young" is not only hurting their name but could also be hurting their patients. The vice president of McLeod has apologized to me for Young's… behavior and wishes that she had performed her job duties more professional. Very sad excuse of a (very expensive) public servant who swore to help and NEVER hurt others. I'm sure even her medical school is a shame of such a poor/harmful PCP that they have produced. As a disclosure, this was my own personal opinion and experience. If you allow her a chance to treat you, I hope and pray you will have better luck and that her superiors will have a chance to properly train her.

Dr young has been my doctor for at least three years now and she has done an outstanding job for me. I have a lot of different health issues I deal with on a daily basis and she has helped me with everything I need to keep my health in as good of condition as she possibly can. She has moved from rockingham nc to join Dr Jerer-Skinner Family Practice located at 101 S. Ravenel street, Suite 160 in Florence, SC. Her office is across from the emergency room and the parking deck at McLeod Reginal Medical Center inside McLeod Medical Park West building A right off highway 52 south on the left side if hwy 52. Yes I drive down 52 every time I go see her for my appointments it only takes 1 hour and 15 minutes from hamlet nc.
