A wonderful human being

A really great psychiatrist who is compassionate and is extremely knowledgeable. Only problem is wait time. I’ve waited up to two hours for him which is a little excessive.

He abruptly took me off my anti-depressant after 18 yrs! If he was any kind of a decent Dr he should know how dangerous that can be. His reason was because I hadn't been to see him in a year and a half would you go see a doctor that falls asleep during your appointment! Talk about rude. One of the appointments I had come to see him because my son had just committed suicide and I needed someone to talk to & as I was telling him about it he fell asleep and that was not the first time that has happened! who am I supposed to tell this to?! I have been wanting to see somebody else for a long time but didn't have the motivation to look for another doctor. So one day he just decides that I am no longer a patient never informed me about it just abruptly took me off my antidepressant and while I was suffering withdrawals he's out basking on vacation in India for 3 months. Talk about horrible bedside manners. The clinic he works at call psychiatric consultants and therapists is the most poorly… run Clinic I have ever seen. Very unprofessional! There wasn't a person there that had enough compassion to help me with my situation.

Dr Gagrat was the only Dr. able to stabilize my bipolar disorder after a lifetime of Drs trying. He is worth the wait. He truly cares about his patients. God bless Dr Gagrat!

We as a family have been given excellent care. Doctor is spectacular in all phases of treatment. We would recommend him to get a medal for the care he has given. Thank you doctor.

Dr. Gagrat is an outstanding psychiatrist. I have seen him for 20 yrs. and cannot say anything negative about him. He is compassionate, an expert diagnostician, and a good listener. Recommend him without reservation.

Dr. GaGrat is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. He is an excellent doctor. (The reason that he gets low scores for promptness is that he doesn't rush his patients and truly listens to them. I strongly believe it's worth the wait to see him. I just figure he'll be running late and plan accordingly.)

he was the only one to correctly diagnose me as bipolar. I went years of being treated for depression, and I wasn't getting the help I deserved. finally I got into dr gagrat and he saved my life!! I only have positive things to say about him. He helped me tons with my eating disorder too. I LOVE dr gagrat

He is focused on the patient's needs. When my insurer declined coverage for a med he was upset and immediately wrote an appeal letter to the insurer, without my asking him to do so. Easy to talk with, and stays current on Rx and over the counter med options. I don't think I could have found a better Dr for my situation.
