He's always been a good doctor for me. He is big on personal fitness and urges his patients to exercise.

Doctor de Brito is a fantastic doctor. When I was off meds for a couple of months and my doctor was having so much issues with sending my prescriptions I knew I needed a new one. I went to Dr. de Brito and he helps so fast taking me at the end of the day and expediting everything so I was back on track. He took such good care of me even though I was a new patient coming from somewhere else.

Doctor de Brito is just fantastic, and I have seen him for 2 years. He cares so much about me and I’ve felt like I’ve had a top professional who knows every bit of the recent research to help me. He was able to slowly and patiently adjust my medication so that I have had noside effects and I am about 400% more comfortable, all the time—with no addictive meds whatsoever. He really eased the huge worries I had trying a new med, helped me for sure feel that I wasn't alone in my struggle. I appreciate doctor De Brito’s conservative approach to medicine, and that helped me trust him from the beginning. I see why his waiting room was packed—this doctor is greatly in demand, but the wait time was not bad at all. I see that he has like 40 great reviews and his waiting room has people that on their own tell each other how grateful they are. It’s also pretty obvious there are bogus reviews, I saw them when I was looking up directions to his office, talking about nothing at all to do with… the experience that I have ever had with any doctor, let alone this kind and humorous man--he is great, totally reommend!

I ended up at urgent care because of the lethal dose of medication that he gave me. I got to the point where I could not walk I could not sleep I could not eat. He prescribed triple the amount dose of a prescription which is what ended me up in urgent Care. he told me I was taking three times too much of the medication and I went back to the pharmacy and thought the exact dosage that he wrote and it was the exact amount he prescribed. He needs serious help himself. I stopped seeing him and was worse off for the time that I did spend with. Thank God I found a competent psychiatrist.

I have no idea what's going on with Dr. Debrito. He is rude, doesn't listen, yells at his staff and tries to diagnose me without really talking to me. The office is dirty, his office is a mess. They're trying to charge me for services I didn't receive. I was in the office and other people were complaining about being charged for services they didn't receive. I asked for a bill and they wouldn't give it to me. I think Dr. De Brito needs help. I am really surprised he has his license still....

As you can see from the previous comments, most of them being either 5 stars, or 1 star, patients are at both extreme ends on their opinion of Dr. Dirk De Brito. I actually understand the negative comments (and even agree with a few of them) but overall, I believe this is a brilliant doctor. Dr. De Brito is most definitely disorganized, scatter-brained, and has no structure. He also can come off as rude and inconsiderate. HOWEVER, Dr. De Brito kind of saved my life. He not only validated my pain and struggles, but he made me feel normal at a time when I felt crazy. Most importantly, he prescribed me a medication that helped me make my way back to myself in only a few months. I have now been off that medication for years and no longer need it. Dr. De Brito understood me and what I was going through when no one else could. I am in no way saying that this will absolutely be your same outcome, but I do think he is worth a shot. If you are sensitive to and picky about bedside manner, you… probably want to avoid this doctor. BUT, if you just want some help and support from a brilliant doctor (several degrees, certifications, and awards) and don't care about anything else, I highly recommend Dr. Dirk De Brito.

Dr. De Brito is a scam artist! He is not interested in helping you . He is in the money business, exploiting patients, power &, ego struggles He needs to feel smarter than his patients no matter what level of degree they posses, whether it is above his level of expertise. He is unprofessional, rude, disrespectful of your time, disrespectful to his staff. Just a very dishonest corrupted medical office operation.

Inept office, gave me prescription that made me ill, told me to "eat like a pig" and could not figure out how to bill my insurance so he charged me $395 for inept visit. STAY AWAY!

I now know what narcisissm means = Debrito. He made me feel like a dart board! I am prescribing medication we're like throwing darts at the dartboard trying to hit the bullseye. I don't think you need a degree from a prestigious school to be able to do that. And to think that I was referred to and from Huntington Memorial Hospital. If it wasn't for my insurance plan I wouldn't have to be forced to see the provider like him. He nearly knocked out earlier with his cocktail of pills he prescribe me over and over and over. Don't be a guinea pig like iOS go see somebody that shows some compassion at least.

Im not sure if Dr de Brito is naturally this hyper, and has a short fuse or speaks a mile a minute and very scattered with poor bedside manners. I get more anxios after my sessions with him and panic attacks before my appointments. After 3 sessions i was done. I really think HE needs major help himself. Be aware and save yourself some money & agony. Peace out.
