Never in my life, have I been treated the way I was today. My daughter, has been having pains, ever since a wreck. Sunday, she went to a fair and was in pain that night (she said it felt worst after a particular ride.) I called and scheduled an appointment to see Dr Garguilo, hoping she didn't re-fracture her pelvis. He had the nerve to laugh in our faces. He was laughing and looking at the resident, "I've been working in this field for a LONG TIME, and I can't say, I've ever heard a story like this! hhahahaaha! Hurt yourself on a fair ride? hahaha THAT'S GREAT!" "UMMMMM, I did not say it was from a fair ride. She has been in pain, ever since the wreck, it is just worse since Sunday. I just want you to check and see IF anything was 'messed up." "Ohhhhh! You think she is still hurting from the wreck. hahahahhaaha.. there is no way! hahahaha" He wouldn’t let us speak, he was just laughing and talking to the resident. At this point I start crying hysterically. I even lost my… contacts. As a mom the WORST thing to see is your child suffering. It sucks to watch your child in pain and you can not do ANYTHING about it. DR G. had the NERVE to say "well, I can find you resources! I honestly think y'all need to see a psychologist!... I'm a surgeon, there is nothing I can do for you. I can guarantee you, there is nothing wrong with her. Physically!" "WHOA WHOA WHOA! Hold up! I'm not here because of some imaginary stuff! We hardly even think of the wreck anymore. That is NOT the problem. The problem is, my child can't do what she could do a year ago (I start listing things she is having trouble with, and the shocking pains she feels shooting down her legs)... can you just check her hips. That's all I need you to do." He took X-rays, and was more than proud to prove there wasn't anything broken, or "anything 'he' could do..." (Sorry you can't cut into my child, Dr.) GREAT. That's all I needed. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't any lingering fractures. "SEE! No fractures! It's prob just muscle pains." "Thanks. That's all I needed to know." "Well, how about you let me give you some numbers to psychologist!" DUDE!!! It took everything in me not to scream. I jumped out of my seat and walked out. Why couldn't he just do his job? Why couldn't he just check her bones, like we were there for? Why did he have to 'tease' us? Why does he assume we need psychological help? The last thing I think about every day, is the wreck. It was bad, it sucked, but I have other things on my mind. If he only knew, those tears were NOT from my emotions over the wreck but me trying not to scream and curse in Children's Hospital. As I'm walking off, "if y'all need anything else..." "OHHHH, DO NOT worry I will NEVER be back here again!!!" He treated us like we were crazy… like we were wasting him time! Absolutely HORRIBLE! I would NEVER refer any one to him.

I have never been talked so down to in my life worst doctor ever did not try to listen to our concerns regarding my daughter. Waited for over a hour to be seen. Over heard him and the staff speaking about my daughter outside the room anger like we were wasting his time before even seeing us. He rushed us out didn't even let us speak our try to explain what was going on.

He really cares about the kids and the parents he is caring for. He is an excellent Doctor and a great person. I am thankful he was the surgeon for my son.

Worst experience EVER with a physician who is supposed to want to help our kids. He blew us off completely and suggested maybe my child simply needed more attention, and there was nothing medically wrong with her despite having been referred by her pediatrician as well as a prior diagnosis from another ortho when we lived in another state. He was rude, and made me feel as though my concerns didn't matter and I should continue to let my 5 year old be in pain constantly. Our wonderful pediatrician is already on the hunt for a decent doctor because even she knows something is wrong with my baby.

I love this man. he truly cares about his patients and take time to listen to his patients. Always smiling and is so courteous. And he is just awesome as a ssurgeon

Great doctor! He was wonderful with my son and took lots of time to make us feel comfortable & insure we understood everything.
