Dr. Dominique Marie Toedt, MD

I was assigned to Dr. Toedt after I fired my previous primary care doctor at Walter Reed. In all fairness, my previous physician was not a good fit for me, especially in the aftermath of a recent hospitalization for an internal bleed. Following my hospitalization, I had a number of alarming (to me) issues, which included fatigue, memory loss, and dealing with pain on a different medication protocol. I was tired of being figuratively patted on the head, my symptoms poo-pooed, and inherently dismissed by my previous doctor. I needed direction for recovery, and answers as to whether my memory loss was temporary, or the beginning of a trend toward Alzheimer's disease. Dr. Toedt has been on top of this assignment, not merely in her office, but in followup calls to me to ensure that I understand and am in compliance with my care protocol. I am comfortable with her, and our relationship is one earmarked with respect and openness. No matter what the outcome, I feel like I am being… heard, and that I am being treated with respect.
