Dr. Donald Normand Cote, MD

I was treated by this physician a year ago. He is rude and paranoid. I am a licensed mental health therapist and I can say he has poor communication skills and no empathy for his patients. While in Rockdale hospital last year he quote told me : “ U have a dead ear.” The appropriate diagnosis was Ramsey Hunt Syndrome. I have severe nerve damage in my left ear and hearing loss. My impression is likes to do surgery and if you are not a surgical patient: he blows you off. His hearing technician who tests your hearing is likes to be called Doctor: she also is incompetent, the one at the Newton office. The Conyer office audiologist is very caring and empathetic. I am over 60 years old and have dealt and worked in the medical community for years. Dr. Cote is way below even minimal standards of care. My experience with him was beyond horrible. I now live with vertigo, hearing loss and nerve pain. His response: “I am not a shingles expert.” Ramsey Hunt Syndrome is a required question on the… medical exam. Do I need to say more?

Dr Cote referred me for the tests I needed to have done, and diagnosed my problems. I am very thankful that he took such good care of me. Now I am doing so much better. I recommend him highly. My husband has an appointment, and I expect Dr Cote to help him as much as he helped me. Mary Bowden

I have written in the past about this Physician and my critique disappeared! Trust me folks he is too busy and not spending enough time with patients! More time is spent monitoring negative reviews to give a snow job! Lacks empathy, money hungry , lacks expertise & does poor follow up!

Dr.Cote is the best, highly recommend him. The office staff is always friendly. Only bad thing I can say is sometimes the hearing testing lady can be grumpy and snappy and sometimes she's ok. Guess it depends on her day.

When a dr visit is started with "why are you back?" And your feeling horrible already...time to find another dr and lose that copay!

I can't thank Dr Cote enough for diagnosing the cause of the pain below my ear that I had been experiencing for a couple of years. He did a fantastic job removing the benign tumor in my salivary gland.

Dr cote is the best .I dont regtate taking my children to see hem.

This review is on the office procedures for making an appointment. Visited an urgent care for ear problem. Prescribed antibiotic for ear infection. A week later the ears were no better and decided I needed to see a specialist. I have seen Dr. Cote and the PA in this practice in the past. Explained the situation when making appointment. Was told it would be over two weeks to get an appointment. I told the scheduler that I'm concerned that the medicine is not working and the infection could cause permanent hearing loss. She said it didn't matter -- tests had to be scheduled prior to the doctor appointment and it will be two weeks before the tests can be scheduled. She said that the doctors in this practice make the policy. I do not understand this policy, when a patient has what could potentially be a serious problem, how waiting two weeks to have tests and get an appointment with the doctor is caring about your patient's health and well being. This happened at the Conyers… office. I believe that Dr. Cote is a good doctor but it's not acceptable to me for it to take two weeks to get an appointment when I'm sick and need to see a doctor. I found a new ENT and was able to get an appointment in two days.

Dr Cote and Dr. T are the best at their speciality. We had great success with them and have referred several friends who also experienced good results. They take time to listen, diagnose and then evaluate.
