Dr. Donald Charles Faust, MD

I’ve been going to Dr Faust for a couple of years now. I’ve probably have seen 4 different hand specialists over the last several years since my carpal tunnel has become unbearable without treatment. Dr Faust is very personable, gentle, and patient. He listens to you, explains situations and options without rushing or making you feel like he wants to get to his next patient. He makes you feel comfortable and never shows frustration when you ask questions. His recommendations are based on what’s best for you; he’s conservative when it comes to ordering/planning procedures/tests; he doesn’t prescribe unnecessary medicine or order tests that return minor or no benefits, even when covered by insurance. Yes, all these things are expected from a doctor; unfortunately these doctor characteristics are no longer common. More recent experiences with other docs: get you in and out, order irrelevant tests, don’t listen to you, thus, assumes a one-fits-all prognosis and treatment… recommendation… just to drive revenue. Dr Faust is kind, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. And most important, his recommendations and treatments have helped me tremendously with my medical issues. *Dr Faust’s staff members are friendly, organized, competent; they ensure your time is never taken for granted.

Dr. Faust operated on my hand. He is a great doctor, not only with his surgical skills, but also with his bedside manner. I'm having trouble with another area on my hand and am calling him again for help.

He is attentive and assessments are throrough. Surgery skills are amazing. all his patients do well

I paid no attention to the wait time at the office. One should recognize that professionals, especially highly skilled, and caring professionals such as Dr. Faust, will spend as much time as needed with all patients, and sometimes it is not possible to keep to a schedule. This should not reflect negatively on a doctor that spends the time to provide exceptional service.Dr. Faust's skills are outstanding, and his bedside manner is impeccable. I don't recall having to wait any unreasonable length of time, but would not have cared. When he saw me, he provided unparalleled service and care, and did not rush me out the door. In spite of the patient load, he managed time well, without sacrificing quality of service.

I was born with ABS, the same condition that left my cousin without an arm. It left my left hand fingers underdeveloped and webbed. Many doctors had suggested to wait till I was older and more developed, and some had even said amputation was the best option. Two of my mothers brothers are orthopedic surgeons with specialties in anesthesiology and spine repair respectively. They informed my mother of a possible way to give me a chance of having a normal hand. Today my hand doesn't hurt , and the nerves are responsive in the fingers he separated, it doesn't look perfect but it serves its purpose. Dr.Faust prevented unnecessary vascular damage and scaring by taking an intuitive approach to the problem, and continues to progress to provide full dexterity. If it wasn't for Dr.Faust I could have a severely deformed hand, or no hand at all.
