Dr. Henry Louis Eiserloh III, MD

I was misdiagnosed by this Dr and a Dr Smith in his group . I suffered for 5 years with Lyme disease . I felt the same results from both drs . I don’t see anything that could be causing this severe pain . You do have things going on in your back but nothing that would cause the pain you are telling me . I was offered pain meds which I refused bc I was already in pain mgmt . It’s been about four years since my last appt . I was going to write him a letter and have him read up on Lyme disease but I decided not to waste my time . Most drs don’t believe Lyme disease is in Louisiana . The testing place I used in California marks the area where you are from if you come up positive . You should see the areas in Louisiana that infected . The testing company is called ignex . When I left out of both visits I felt like I was treated as though I was there to get pain meds and that’s it . Let me tell you I sore a fake smile on my face for 5 years . I was in excruciating pain in my thoracic are of… my spine . $80,000 and 5 years later my wife is the one that got my pain mgmt Dr to order a Lyme test . Sure enough that’s what it was . Sad thing is many drs in the south use the test in the hospital lab . These test are not accurate . With this I will say I know that these drs are not God , but heck my wife has a bachelors degree in theater and she figured it out . The misdiagnoses wasn’t as bad as me felling like I was begging for a script . All I wanted was to find out why the pain mgmt count even get me out of pain . I hope he or his staff reads this . Maybe he can take notes and find someone’s pain faster next time . I pray this disease ends soon. There’s so many side affects that mimic other things .

We had a very bad experience with Dr Eiserloh. My son who is an elite athlete had a microdiscectomy with him in May 2021 - Shortly after the surgery my son was in extreme pain. The doctor did not take him seriously or follow up properly -" told him to stop being a baby". After a month of pain and complaining the doctor did an exploratory still not thinking it was anything of concern, it turned out he had a staph infection. The doctor said infection was in tissue only turned out it was in his spine. Cleared him for exercise when he should have been resting. At one point he sent us to another doctor for second opinion who said permanent damage was done and his sports career is over. Dr Eiserloh wasn't able to recognize the severity of this condition or properly diagnosis what was going on. We wish we never went to him.

Great Doctor very caring easy to talk to and listens to what you have to say about your health problems and gives you his undivided attention with a plan

I suffered from a herniated disc and pain down my leg to my foot for months. Dr. Eiserloh made room for me in his appointment schedule and started treating me. Respected my wishes to try pain management first which did not work. He operated on me and when I woke up, I was pain free down my leg. He is a great doctor, takes his time with patients and is very accessible! I highly recommend him!

At the end of the visit, I felt as if I should not have gone because of sarcasm from this doctor. Would not refer anybody to see this doctor.

He's not a cut happy surgeon. He prefers to try less invasive options until nothing else will relieve the pain/weakness.

I don't think I saw the same Dr. Eiserloh as some of the people who wrote bad reviews. Dr. Eiserloh ooerated on me for spinal stenosis and did a great job. I had immediate relief. He spent ample time with me, answered my many questions and explained the procedure very thoroughly. His bedside manner was very good.

I would and do highly recommend Dr. Eiserloh to anyone! He and his PA are wonderful and take their time with you and make sure that you understand everything. They have wonderful bedside manners. I had to have a C5 - C6 fusion and am so happy that I was referred by my GP to Dr. Eiserloh!

After years of being evaluated by a number of well known physicians with recommendations that I reframe from a back fusion as long as necessary Dr. Eiserloch after just a few visits determined that waiting was no longer an option and we should consider the inevitable. Placing a bunch of faith in this physician both my wife and I decided to finally give in. After approx. 9 hrs in the operating room and 2 years of follow up visits was professionally turned over to a life of medications and never ending visits to a pain mgmt. specialist. Dr Eiserlochs' professional opinion "Nothing more I can do for you".
