I sustained a torn rotator cuff injury at home in Atlanta. A very large tear. It was bad. I live in Atlanta but am working in Baton Rouge. I decided to have Dr. Chip Bankston perform the repair surgery. I am now 5 months post-surgery. My shoulder feels great. No pain or instability. Dr. Bankston is not only a top surgeon, he has excellent people/patient skills. Also, the BROC support staff is very professional, helpful, friendly and they make visits and follow-up care easy. I highly recommend Dr. Bankston and Baton Rouge Orthopedic Clinic. JH

Excellent rotator cuff surgery. Healed fast and feels perfectly normal. I was over 65 when it was done.

Dr. Bankston took time to review all my records concerning my shoulder covering years and immediately knew what to do. After 3 failed replacements and an ongoing infection he took care of it and is still following up with me 5 yrs later. He is caring and compassionate. Hands down the best orthopedic doctor I've ever seen.

After experiencing chronic pain for over 16 months, I went to Dr. Bankston. He listened to all my problems and concerns and ordered the appropriate MRI. Finally, I received the correct diagnosis and am on the road to recovery. Thank you !

Agree with poor bedside manner. I pray he treats family better after hearing they have an arthritic knee, they've tried medicine, therapy, injections, and then finally my favorite part "you're broken good luck......" I'm 50 frickin years old and that's the best he's got. I'm sorry I'm not an athlete but last I checked I am a living breathing God fearing person with feelings and a family who loves and cares for me. I'm sorry if you cannot dr Bankston compute.

Dr. Chip Bankston was very rude to my wife and i. He did not want to listen to anything we had to say concerning the problem with my knee. He did not take the right steps in treating my problem. I feel he rushed to performed surgery on me when it wasn't even needed. My knee was not even fixed. I found he was very unprofessional and inexperienced. He didn't like being asked questions and was very rude and defensive when we asked him questions or just tried to talk to him. I would never recommend Dr Chip Bankston to anyone. I have meet with many doctors in my life for myself and family and I have never been treated like Dr Chip Bankston has treated me. Looks like his behavior is consistent, no matter what the payment source is. I have private insurance.

I was hurt on the job. Dr. Bankston ignored my complaints about knee pain. iHe ordered a MRI and told me it would PROVE that my knee was fine. I could never schedule an appointment over the phone. I was also lied to be staff regarding my MRI approval. He refused to change my medication when informed him the dose was to strong. He didn't take my advance regarding my return to work paperwork and just told the nurse to write sedentary work only. I will NEVER seek treatment from him again! Just awful!

I guess this doctor's puny little 6 years experience didn't teach him any bedside manners. He was abrupt, cold and uncaring. Also dismissive. IF he is a good surgeon only time and some growing up will tell in my opinion. He may work with the private health insurance carriers better in my opinion, but if you are on workers comp beware. You will be dismissed,brushed off and treated like an aggravation. At least, this is how I was treated.
