Dr. Donald Jon Hillebrand, MD

He is an amazing and brilliant. I'm 6yrs sober now because of Him and God and me also putting in the work. He is quite because he's thinking about the best treatment and what's going on. He took my case right away when I was admitted to methadist. I was there 8 months and he was there for me. Put it this way I need a liver Transplant. It went from getting a liver in 2 yrs now 25yrs or maybe more. God bless you Dr. Hillabrand.

Very personable and professional. Answered all our questions cares about my total health not just the liver. Highly recommend him and his staff. Look forward to being a patient and trust him!

Dr Hillebrand is great, but, staff has some work to meet his high level of care.

Terrible dr! I even complained to nurses at Methodist and they ALL agreed and told me he was only liver dr on rotation so nothing they could do but all patients felt equally same about him. How does he keep job and his medical license? Not only horrible bedside manner he is so dumb! He looks for any reason to write off patients to not treat them because he’s lazy and doesn’t want to do paperwork, EXACT words from his nurse practitioner. By the grace of God, we advocated as a family and got him transferred to University of Wisconsin where an amazing dr cared for him.

Would highly advise not seek medical services from Dr. Hildebrand. If you happen to be admitted to a hospital and your care is overseen by Dr. Hildebrand, you should request a change of physicians. He is so incredibly rude and lacks compassion or empathy. BEWARE!

My brother was under Dr hildebrand’s care at Methodist due to liver failure & HRS.Hildebrand told us no transplant center would accept/list him bc he wasn’t 6mo sober so he just directed treatment towards “comfort care.”he told my bro & fam that “this” (dying) was consequence of my bro’s poor life choices & told me not to interfere in medical management of my bro.i literally had to teach myself using internet in a few days about liver transplant to save my bro’s life.hildebrand told us about his endless credentials so to trust him when he says there’s no chance of him getting on transplant list.i proved him wrong and within hrs of him saying that,I found UW who was willing to evaluate and transplanted 2 wks later. Meld score was 42-43 at Methodist and 37 at time of transplant just 2 weeks later. That alone tells u that treatment was without doubt way better at UW!

Dr Hillenbrand was there for my alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency liver transplant. Kept me motivated with lots of support during the waiting for a liver donor. 4 years !! Thank You Dr Hillenbrand

I saw Dr Hillebrand yesterday and I was VERY impressed. He was extremely thorough and took his time explaining everything to me. He is a credit to his profession.

Dr. Hillebrand saved my husband's life....and, I attribute my husband's health and survival after transplant to Dr. Hillebrand!!!
