Dr. Donald Woo Lee, MD

Dr Lee is a nice guy, but I wouldn’t be a patient. I used to work for him and was given a work load that was more than I can handle. He had me traveling from 1 assisted living to another, while still expected to get charting, referrals and phone messages taken care of. We had a physician in the office 1-2 days a week- 1 being a Dr. arrested for patient neglect and elder abuse. While working for Dr Lee, that physician saw a patient with diabetes. He had an infection in his toes and in the next 3 months had both feet amputated because the infection was not taken care of. I was given a prescription pad, with every sheet signed by Dr Lee and was allowed to write prescriptions for patients when I didn’t have a physician in the office. THE OFFICE SUPERVISOR WAS THE WORST. She would “borrow” copayment money for gas, forget to replace it, and then I was accused of taking it. Everything about this place was shady and I’m so Glad I quit when I did.

I’ve had this doctor for over 8 years now, never really helping me and sending me everywhere just racking up money, I’ve been sick for over a year trying to see him once a month and he hasn’t helped me at all, I’ve lost 35 pounds in the past 2 months and he doesn’t help... wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy

Don't do what I did. Do not go with Doctor lee he is not a good doctor for you.

Dr. Lee said I needed vein surgery based on results from an ultrasound test I scheduled as a result of a healthcare booth . My only symptom was that my ankles swell at night, which he said was caused by venous insufficiency. I went in for what I thought was a consultation, and the receptionist handed me a release to sign for surgery that very night. Dr. Lee convinced me that I did need the surgery, which he performed in his office. ( radio Frequency Ablation, or RFA) They made an appointment for follow up a few days later, but no one was at the office when I arrived. I waited outside a half hour, then left. Dr. Lee said there would be no pain or downtime. It was uncomfortable, but not terrible, but about two weeks later, I developed very painful knots on my leg. I had a bad feeling about Dr. Lee, and made an appointment with my regular doctor. He said he wished I had got another opinion, that Dr. Lee had almost lost his license a few years ago, and that I probably didn't need the… surgery. My ankle swells up exactly as before. The knots are still there 2 months later, although less painful. Please get a second opinion before letting Dr. Lee work on you.

I am very disappointed with the lack of referrals Doctor Lee gives hi patients. When you bring him a concern, he laughs it off and will not refer you unless you insist on it. Fortunately, I have a PPO and went to specialist without his referral and caught cancer in early stages. I have a family member who had foot issue and he kept saying it was arthitist and now she is recovering from extensive surgery because he waited so long. Also tries to get all his patients to get vien procedure. Finding a new doctor.

The Hemet office is terrible. Staff does not return calls, and makes appointments without telling patients that they have them, or what they are for. After have Radio Frequency Ablation on my leg, I had some pain, and called the office, but there was no answer, so I called my regular doctor. At that appointment, I was told that I did not need the procedure, and that Dr. Lee "preys on seniors" with various "money-making gimmicks". If you decide to see him, definitely get a second opinion before allowing him to work on you.

Explains things thoroughly-excellent personality - seems to care a great deal about patients and providing affordable care. I'm confident in his ability as a geriatric specialist in helping me through the downside of aging. He is very active in promoting good health in our community as well.
