He started screaming why I did not tell him or other doctors before certain new symptoms I just started having. Yet he is my general doctor and I am simply telling him now symptoms that have gotten recently much worse. Then he almost hung up on me screaming, "Well I don't think there is any point to continuing this conversation." Apparently, I was supposed to magically know which symptoms to tell previous doctors and which symptoms to "obviously" omit as irrelevant in order to have gotten those past doctors to make me the appropriate referrals. He kept interrupting me and yet ironically kept saying that I am the one not listening. He got so stressed out he could not even wrap up the appointment in any normal manner. His constant themes throughout the appointment seemed to be 1) defensiveness, 2)guilt at changing his mind about my condition in the middle of the appointment and 3) his constant disbelief about what I have or have not said to other doctors in the past. He went from utterly… disbelieving my symptoms to yelling at me for not enunciating complex medical terms succinctly to other doctors and failing to get them act on the urgency of my condition. He seemed unhinged and acted as though he was being blamed or framed when he was not.
