Dr. Donald Paul Long, MD

Gave me a hysterectomy without my permission in 1991. I never got to have children because, of this Dr. I have some comfort knowing he can't do this to another woman now. I had many complications from that surgery.

In 1986 Dr. Long diagnosed me with endometriosis. He performed laser surgery to alleviate scarring and pain. It was a new treatment option at the time. I was 19. I had the surgery at Mid Jefferson Hospital. It was successful. I went on to have three sons. I'm thankful for the care he gave me.

This butcher changed my life and even though he's passed away im.still dealing with the fall out of being given a hysterectomy at 33 without my permission. You don't castrate a woman because, she has indometriosis. At least he can't hurt anyone else like he did me. I never got to have children thanks to this guy. Still suffering greatly by what he took from me. Only a test done with a wire camera put though my belly button to see if I had indometriosis. No permissions given to perform a complete radical hysterectomy. Woke up to surprise I took everything out. I'm still living in the nightmare he put me in.

Nothing to fear anymore cause, this guy is gone. In 1990 this guy gave me a complete radical hysterectomy without my permission. Put to sleep to have a test done and wake up with all reproductive organs gone. I was in my early 30's. You don't castrate a woman because,she has endometriosis. This guy destroyed my life. At 33 he gave me a complete hysterectomy without my permission. I never had children because this jerk took directions from the husband that I divorced over all this. I had endometriosis and there was no reason to do that to me. I wish him the worst.

Dr Long spends time with his patients. Very personable.

I been going to Dr. Long for the pass 30 plus years. He is very knowledgeable, takes time to explain and answer questions.

If this doctor recommends a hysterectomy please get a second opinion. He is noted for pushing a hysterectomy. He doesn't explain what happens if you can't take the hormons, and his knowledge of hormones is very poor. He doesn't discuss long term effects.

Most loving, personable physician I have ever met. Office staff caring and just as amazing.

Dr Long thought I might have endometriosis. He said the only thing I could do for it was have a hysterectomy. He never offered to treat it with laser or try hormone therapy. I should have gotten another opinion before having the surgery. The surgery has caused many other issues.
