Fixed my shoulder, so I could return to all my sports

I came to Dr. Omalley with numerous joint problems that occurred while I served my country in the US Army. DR. Omalley and PA Karen Trait are the only orthopedic Doctors I have seen since I came home 11 years ago. In the service I had 3 left knee operations, late 70, mid 80 and 1998 which was the ACL replacement. Back then the US Army inserted a lot metal in my knee to fix the ACL. Once my knee started to give me problems, Dr Omalley and Karen made a difference in my care, they made me comfortable with numerous treatments despite the joint continuing to deter. Ultimately A full knee replacement was completed. With the more recent technology and expertise of Dr. Omalley and Karen they made changes of the joint without all the metal bolt, staples screws, plates that you normally do not see with a knee replacement. They Adapted to the abnormal and did an awesome job on my knee The hardest challenge was on the horizon. With all the operations I had on this knee prior to the knee… replacement was 35 years of healing, and scar tissue took over my joint, taking out all that metal and getting a new knee, the scar tissue would not let me heal inside. DR Omalley and Karen were so patient, professional and kept me informed of everything. Had to have 2 additional operations, but ultimately it worked out. I was in Physical Therapy over a year, started twice to heal up. My healing was difficult, but the resilience, integrity and motivation from my doctors made the difference to healing properly. With the care of DR, Omally and Karen I totally trusted them to take care of me. I also still see them repeatedly for my right shoulder and also my right knee who has been my rock since the 1st knee injury in 1979, 39 years of stability when the left one had problems. I was offered to have my left knee replacement done at the VA. With no hesitation my decision was to have Dr. Omalley take care of me. Thank goodness I made the right choice. What is special about this team is they really care and they do a complete competent job. The whole medical office is great. At least I have peace of mind, I have an awesome Doctors who I can depend on to take care of me, it's important. Thanks DR. Dr. O'Malley was a gift. I had to have emergency surgery for a badly fractured wrist (requiring a metal plate and 12 screws). Dr. O'Malley explained everything to me, in detail (even drawing a picture of my injury for me) before my surgery. He was not pretentious, as so many Doctors seem to be....and had a tremendous calming influence. He has a terrific bedside manner and a good sense of humor. More importantly, he did a fabulous job with a difficult patient and a very nasty injury. I could not have asked for a better surgeon. And I do believe he was truly a gift from the Universe.
