Dr. Donald Clark Putman, MD

Dr. Putman was put on my case when I was 11 years old when I had an infection in my heart from a leaky heart valve. That was the luckiest thing that could have ever happened to me. I have been with him now for almost 20 years and he really has always given me the best care. I went through my aortic valve repair with him as my cardiologist and he is fantastic. In the thick of it I had other cardiologists thrown on my case but no one knew cardiology like Dr. Putman. As a person he is so great and is able to calm you like no other even when talking about difficult situations. If you choose to bring your child to Dr. Putman you will doing your child a great service for their health. He is truly remarkable.

My daughter saw Dr. Putman today for the first time, what a wonderful experience. We had seen a previous Pediatric Cardiologist and it was not a pleasant experience. Dr.Putman has a wonderful bedside manner, he took the time to address my concerns and reason for our visit. Most importantly he put my 13 year old daughter at ease giving all of us explanations of how her heart was functioning with comic relief (he even had my extremely shy son smiling and paying attention). I was equally impressed with the front desk receptionist. She greeted us with a smile, had paperwork ready and waiting for me to complete,even being as busy as she was took time out when we left to wish us a good day and weekend.

My wife and I don't write reviews often but I felt compelled to after experiencing time with him. Recenty, our son of 5 years old was diagnosed with a heart murmur. We were both in tears from our primary care physician's diagnosis as she recommended we further evaluate his condition with Dr Putman. We were pleasantly surprised how friendly and helpful the front desk staff was as well as the facility. Dr. Putman's bedside manner put our son at ease immediately. We were greeted by the doctor as we headed to his office to consult with him about background history, and to educate us on murmurs. Our son was scared, but Dr. Putman made him feel so comfortable. By the time we were in the examining room, our son couldn't stop laughing. In fact, we were all happy and smiling at such a tense time. During the examination, Dr. Putman led us through the different parts of the heart and made us feel good about the condition of our son's heart. Dr. Putman told us we didn't need to return, as… everything was fine, but our son insisted that he only wants to visit Dr. Putman in the future.

Dr.Putman immediately apologized for the delay due to a patients late arrival. He was welcoming, engaging and genuine. My son felt very comfortable. Dr. Putman exhibited great knowledge, explaining many details during the EKG.

He immediately put my son at ease at his first appointment. Terrific bedside manner. Great sense of humor. Perfect for nervous kids. Seemed to know exactly what he was looking for and everything turned out fine, thank goodness. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Putnam is a great doctor. My baby (who is now 2½) went to him because they thought his organs might be reversed. Luckily, they were not and his lungs were just inflamed. He was very knowledgeable and did all the necessary tests. He had a wonderful bedside manner and did not make us wait like most doctors do. The person who rated Dr. Putman with one star is an idiot!!! Of course he had to run the tests anyway because if he didn't and your baby died, whose fault would it have been?

Dr. Putman is a remarkable doctor.I only have great things to say about him.He has been taking care of my daughter for over 10 years now and she loves him as well. He is very well knowledged and has always led us in the right direction from the day my daughter was born.We have always felt comfortable and in great hands.His staff and office is great as well.I will keep recommending him because I feel he is very qualified.

Our pediatrician suggested that we send our newborn to the eco because she may have heard some heart mumur. When we came, the dr listened to the heart and immediately said that the baby is perfectly fine. But that didn't stop him from performinga whole series of the procedures on the child while the poor 10 day old baby was getting more and more frustrated and we asked him to stop. Obviously the tested turned out to be just fine. Aparently it is very common for infants to have heart murmur which goes away and our baby didn't even have any murmur. The reason he instited so much on the bill became aparent when we received the bill: more than a thousand dollars! And we are responsible for the whole amount because of high deductible (thank you insurance!). The whole procedure lasted around 40 minutes. It was unnecessary (for us) but very profitable for the dr. He just took full advantage of the worried parents. Beware!

What a wonderful doctor!! My son felt at ease immediately!! We have been to many doctors in the past two years and never have we been treated so warmly. Dr. Putman is fabulous!! Thank God my son's results were all good, no need for a follow up visit. When I told my son he said, too bad mom, I really would like to see him again! That says it all!!
