Dr. Donald A Schmidt, MD

I would never suggest Dr. Schmidt. Very bad surgery experience in that after surgery he vanished. After that I fell on my knee and was in horrible pain. I called office and they said that I could not come in because he was gone. That evening I called again and other doctor answered. Next day office denied that I called and other dr. said that I never called and it was only a slight sprain. Changed doctors and because of other surgery I needed to have a knee replacement. They lie, change records, and I would never trust them of or there staff.

Made incorrect assumptions and rushed through diagnosis. Recommended and proceeded with surgery when not necessary. Very bad experience.

His office staff isn't always the most professional. He can come off as arrogant, but I've learned that his patients have better outcomes more quickly, than other orthopedic surgeons. That tidbit comes from PTs who've worked with him.
