Dr. Donald Paul Seago, MD

Dr. Seago is a fantastic doctor and surgeon. I was referred to him by my "regular" OBGYN for a persistent problem. Dr. Seago has clearly explained my treatment options, one of which was a surgery. I chose the surgery. The entire staff at the hospital was supportive, attentive, took the time to listen to my concerns and addressed them. The surgery was a 100% success, and while I was weak afterwards, I felt so much better then before. I have only positive things to say about Dr. Seago, his team, and the entire hospital staff involved in my care.

I was referred to Dr. Seago by another physician. I saw Dr. Seago once & was scheduled for surgery. Surgery went Ok, but after I healed a bit, I realized he failed to even do the most important surgery. ( It was a 2 part surgery) upon going in for a follow-up, I asked him about this and he immediately became defensive. He insisted on doing a a exam, because he said “I can’t tell you what happened unless I look” which I was not ready for. I was not healed enough for that yet. He had me go into a waiting area, while I suppose he grabbed my file and decided to read it. He came back & said “clearly I made a mistake & I’m sorry” I was extremely upset & couldn’t believe what I was hearing and that id have to do ANOTHER surgery because he “forgot” Please read all other reviews and get as much information as you can before deciding. I am considering legal action at this point.

I had major post operative complications. Dr. Seago just left me in the hospital for two weeks without consulting another specialist. He is rude and does not take the time to listen to his patients. He actually told me I was wasting his time. I had to undergo another major emergency surgery due to his incompetence. I would never recommend this doctor.

My mother had ovarian cancer. Dr. Seago would not tell us the truth about her health. His assistant was brutal and one of the last conversations I had with my Mother was that his nurse had yelled at her and told her she would die. We also never got a cancer staging. They said that their office didn’t stage cancers. Weird. My Mother passed of sepsis. This dr did not give quality of life treatment. Cancer sucks but a horrible dr is even worse. Look for a caring doctor.

Worst experience ever. Drove two hours for a 10am appointment. When I signed in there was only one person ahead of me on the list however the waiting room was full. I was told I would be next. Two hours later after everyone in the waiting room had been seen and two pharmaceutical reps that stayed in with the doctor for at least 45 minutes, I was called back. I was seeing this Dr with the intention of getting a hysterectomy. The first question he asked as he was about to do the exam was "Do you have insurance?". After I told him who my insurance carrier was he performed a hurried exam that hurt so terribly that I almost passed out. When the nurse saw my obvious discomfort, she boredly said "take a deep breath". Following this exam, which was three months ago , I have had pelvic pain on a constant basis. I was not in any pain before this exam. The reason for my wanting to have a hysterectomy was due to a history of breast cancer. I have been seeing a pelvic pain dr and I will… probably have to have surgery as a result of Dr. Seago's exam.

He probably saved my life. We owe him , but will never be able to repay, always praying for him and his family!

Waited almost 3 hours to see doctor when people had not been seen yet from the morning appointments. Then was told I had to reschedule I WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!!!
