Ended up in the Emergency room my heart palpitations were so bad. I followed up with an Endocrinologist who was shocked that I had been subscribed such high level of meds and he questioned her methods. I would suggest getting a second opinion. Being on such high dosage of thyroid meds over a long period of time would surely have some negative impact on the body. It also seemed the office visits were intentionally prolonged. ***i never post reviews. Just thought this was important enough to share my experience. I left out a lot of details

Dr. Hurlock is amazing. She diagnosed and treated my hypothyroidism. I finally have my life back and feel like a normal person.

Hands down one of the best physicians I've been to! If you are having trouble with your thyroid or hormones and need a physician who will take the time to listen to you, Dr. Hurlock is the one to go to. She takes a broad, individual look at her patients and offers options to help. The change in medications for me was a life changer! It is because she actually listened to me rather than look at numbers from medical tests. Defintely worth the time!

Then by all means visit dr hurlock and wait for an hour after your appointment at 8:40am to be seen by her. Very unprofessional

I was referred to Dr. Hurlock by a friend when I had issues with an abnormal pap. When I went to see Dr. Hurlock, she took inventory of all other facets of my health and also determined that I was battling hypothyroidism, which other doctors had not recognized or would diagnose because my lab results were borderline. In fact, I was almost diagnosed as bi-polar for anxiety and depression issues. I never knew that all these random issues I had all correlated to thyroid issues (extreme fatigue, high cholesterol, freezing cold all the time, constipation, extremely dry skin, fragile hair/hair loss, low sex drive, and the anxiety/depression, etc.). After finding the proper dosage of medicine with Dr. Hurlock, my life completely changed for the better! Within the year, I was happy, back to my normal self, and all issues cleared up. I can't imagine my life now without her treatment and courage to treat symptoms versus treating only off lab results! She carefully watches my bone density and… symptoms to ensure I'm staying healthy. I fly up to Virginia from S.C., every year and if I have any issues throughout the year, we discuss the case over the phone and adjustments are made. Dr. Hurlock changed my life and I can't recommend and thank her enough!

Dr. Hurlock is wonderful! She is so knowledgeable, listened to everything I said, and prescribed a treatment plan with specific goals and milestones. She's brilliant. I wish every doctor was like her.

I’ve been trying for 45 years to find a doctor who could figure out my thyroid problems and balance my meds. At last I am feeling wonderful with Dr Hurlock’s help. I can’t say enough good things about this doctor. I found her on the list of recommended physicians on the Stop The Thyroid Madness website. What a blessed relief to feel so good, at last.

Donna is a wonderful doctor who knows more about fixing Thyroid problems than most doctors. I have had it for 13 years. She helped me way better than many other doctors. I felt better in less than a year. Yippie!

i have been a patient of Dr. Hurlock since 2015. When i saw her for the first time i was on 30 mg levothyroxin for Hashimoto's. I was constantly feeling cold, fatigued, constipated, and had high cholesterol. I didn't have the energy to walk or exercise. My previous endocrinology doctor had put notes in my record year after year that i was 'subclinical' (we moved out of state and i was able to see my medical records because of that). Dr. Hurlock changed my medication, increased the dose, and balanced my hormones. Since then i have seen huge improvements and have forgotten the symptoms i had when i first went to see her. I am thankful to Dr. Hurlock and highly recommend her if you have hormonal misbalance issues.

Almost my whole life I have felt the impact of hypothyroidism in all of the small ways it adds up with seemingly random symptoms. For a long time I didn’t know that the way I was feeling wasn’t normal, although it wasn’t good. I felt faint all the time, I passed out, I never had regular menstrual cycles, my hands and feet were always ice cubes, I’ve had lifelong constipation, and so on. Until I went to Dr. Hurlock that was how my life was. Now, however, everything that I dealt with for so long has disappeared. I don’t even know how to express how much better I feel now that I’ve been taking NatureThroid. I would definitely recommend taking the time to go to Dr. Hurlock if you think you have hypothyroidism based off of how you’re feeling because it is possible to feel better. The office is a great environment, it’s personal ans she really listens to what you’ve struggled with and talks through what she thinks will work best for you specifically.
