I agree with Echo on this matter. She shouldn't be in the practice.

Since she has done work with native people in Africa in the "bush" and so forth, she thinks that everyone should just "suck it up" because any of us should be able to handle what ever we are dealt with and be tougher than we are. Easy to say when you are talking about two VERY different cultures and ways of life, etc. When I was pregnant, I had problems with pre-term labor starting about 6 months along. When ever she wanted to put me on various medications to stop the pre-term labor I would ask what the risks were to the baby, and she would LITERALLY pat me on the head and told me to "not worry your pretty little head about it", NEVER giving me an answer. The result? A special needs child with ADHD, OCD, and ODD, and anger issues. NONE of these conditions run on either my side of the family nor my husbands. When I had similar problems with my second pregnancy, I had a different doctor, who put me on DIFFERENT meds and answered all our questions about the effect it could have on… our baby. The result? A normally functioning child. I had seen her since my first pregnancy and delivery (which the delivery she wasn't even present for!), and knowing that heart problems run in my family put me on medications that could cause heart problems as a rare side-effect. The result? I now have a heart-condition that I will have for the rest of my life. Thanks Dr. Wilson, you did a great job, NOT! As far as I know, she isn't even board certified anymore, that doesn't put a lot of confidence in the patient either. She sould have retired years ago.
