Dorothy Newmark, MD, FACOG

Dr. Newmark has seen me for two back to back pregnancies. I have an incompetent cervix and she was on top of getting me in and scheduled for surgery with her to receive my preventative cerclages. She has the personality that I appreciate in a doctor, she is blunt and honest with you about what is going on and what the plan will be but she also shows compassion during sensitive conversations. She doesn’t sugar coat the seriousness of certain situations and I think that is a valuable thing to have in a provider when dealing with serious issues in pregnancy and women’s health. She is booked and busy in the office, often running late for appointment times BUT in return you get a in depth appointment yourself. I’d recommend her 100x over again.

Newmark is an outstanding physician. She has been more thourough than even my primary care provider. She looks at the wholePicture of women, not just why they are seeing her. I cannot recommend her enough. She is a strong asset for Mercy Health.

I appreciate Dr. Newmark reviewing my options with me so I understood the pros and cons. I was very satisfied with the final decision.

She was very judgmental and made me feel stupid every turn I made in my pregnancy. She made it seem as if it was too late to change my doctor and she was the only one who would see me. I never felt like I could tell her anything without being uncomfortable. She made me stressful every appointment I had with her to the point when i would dread going in to see her. Every appointment should have been exciting but it turned into just being anxious the whole time.

She went out of her way to see me and schedule surgery.
