Dr. Dorothy Jean Odom, MD

I would not recommend this office to anyone. I had to switch OBGYN's due to my insurance changing and found Dr. Odom's office. From my first initial experience it was ok. They never answer the phones, and the receptionist is never polite. After my first appointment I never received a call back with my test results. I called almost every day for a month and never was able to get a hold of someone, I left multiple voicemails with no calls back. After months of attempting to get a hold of someone I finally got the results. This is unacceptable, I should not have to chase down a Drs. office for results. To top it off a year later for my next annual appointment I scheduled my visit over the phone. What do you know I drove over 40 minutes to get to the appointment that was supposedly schedule for 7:45am and I had no appointment actually scheduled. They were able to see I had one scheduled but the receptionist had cancelled it and had it scheduled for a completely different day and… time that I did not agree to. I am livid. This is completely unacceptable and the fact that they couldn't fit me in for their mistake topped it all off, the office manager did not seem to care. They also refused to give me the name of the receptionist who cancelled my appointment. Then they had the nerve to ask if I want to reschedule?! Worst experience ever and I do not recommend this office to anyone! They clearly need to hire new staff members

Dr Odom has been my GYN for many years And has always had the best bedside manner but I just was sched for a hysterectomy and my ins was not going to cover .. Dr Odom made sure it happened and I also was told by another surgeon who was in the OR that he was very impressed by her expertise and technique in the operating room ! As long as she is practicing in this area I am thankful to be able to be her patient !!

Dr. Odom didn't come off as sure or confident as my other physicians. The lack of certainty in herself and her staff made me and my husband feel very nervous. She also seemed rude when we asked questions. I wouldn't suggest this doctor if you like to ask questions about your care.

Dr. Odom is an arrogant Doctor that is too busy for the patients that she has appointments for daily. She assigned an nurse assistant to see me and then charged me for a Doctors visit. She is a terrible physician and I would recommend that any perspective patient find someone that really cares about their patients. She is terrible.
