Dr. Douglas Ian Allen, DO

Dr. Douglas Allen came highly recommended by my pain doctor. Upon calling to make first appointment I was presently surprised as to how quickly I was able to be seen. His assistant (Antionette) was very pleasent and highly professional. Dr. Allen was very knowledgable about my targeted pain area, patient because I asked him a slew of questions pertaining to my condition and he answered every one of them. His compasion was apparent on the day of my procedure because he knew I was apprehensive about my treatment and he explained his every move. Making the event easy-going. I am very grateful to have Dr. Allen as my doctor. You will too!

There are a handful of truly caring doctors who make a patient feel taken care of ON ALL LEVELS. Dr. Allen combines knowledge and skill, with outstanding warmth and concern. He's the best!

I've been going to Dr allen for over a year, hes the best ! he is always very courteous and give me the very best care always.. his staff is amazing and always follows up with me to ensure all is ok. since ive been going to him my pain mangement is the best its ever been !!!

Dr. Allen was recommended to me by a very good practitioner of sports medicine, so I was shocked by this shoddy operation. I showed up a half an hour before my appointment and was not greeted by any staff whatsoever. Dr. Allen himself finally emerged explaining (jokingly?) that "my staff walked out on me." I had called ahead to make sure that this practice took our insurance and was in our network. But Dr. Allen demanded payment in full, up front, before the consultation. He then said I could bill my insurance company on his behalf and that he'd reimburse me later out of what the insurance company paid for him. Our policy doesn't work that way, for very good reason -- to get into the network, Dr. Allen agreed to certain pricing, for which our insurer will pay him in full. This is merely an attempt by him to bill for more than those agreed to amounts. In any event, with no consultation whatsoever, he asked for $200 for the visit and then for additional money for the cortisone… shot he planned to give me. How did he know I'd need a cortisone injection given that we hadn't even spoken? The attorney general should take a hard look at this practice.

Dr Allen is a great listener as well as a great service provider who not only understood my concerns but was able to give me sound solid advice on treament and how to move ahead towards a pain free future. Id highly recommend him its just a shame that it took me ten other doctors to finally get to him,, if you can id suggest to start with him.

I was recommended to see Dr. Allen from my primary care doctor for pain in my lower back. I have had past experiences with pain physicians who rush me out of the office and just want to give me an injection. Dr. Allen took the time to go over my condition in detail and explained everything to make me feel comfortable in performing the procedure. The procedure was painless and worked as expected. I have referred friends and colleagues to Dr. Allen who have had similiar experiences. I highly recommend him.
