Dr. Douglas Gregory Day, MD

Dr Day was not a good doctor in my opinion. I had laser surgery on my eyes to relieve eye pressure three years ago. Dr Day informed me I needed to have it again. I did not want to have the surgery because it was painful not to mention expensive. I asked it there was a different eye drop that may help. Dr. Day stated it would be expensive. This did not sit well with me because he knew nothing about my financial status. This made me seek a second opinion. I now have a new doctor that prescribed a combination eye drop. I am happy to report my pressure is down after two weeks. Please seek a second opinion before surgery. The office is like a cattle call. No real attention to your particular case. It’s more like a one size fits all with Dr. Day. I spent four years with this doctor and now have significant optic damage due to his lack of care. Thank goodness for my intuition that told me something wasn’t right.

I would not think of changing doctors. Dr. Day knows his trade. His staff at the location where I see him need lessons in courtesy and professionalism.

I saw Dr Day as a new patient and he seemed pleasing enough and answered my questions. He was not particularly friendly and he didn't ask me whether my prescriptions needed refills nor ask about my medications, or suggest a next appt and so it could have been more thorough, but I was satisfied enough with the visit and his knowledge. I had an issue that required referral by him to a retinal specialist. After I saw the specialist, I needed to ask an important followup question to Dr Day (and records from RS were forwarded back to Dr. Day). Because there was no patient portal, I emailed a detailed question to the staff who immediately told me she had forwarded it to him. After a few days, I contacted staff again who told me they had forwarded it to his assistant. Still never heard back so staff informed the office manager. Here we are now 11 days later and I am being completely ignored. I now guess I need to start over with a new Dr. Ridiculously unprofessional by staff and/or Dr.

The average wait time in the office is about an hour (base on our experience other patients in the same room with us). Dr. Day sees you for less than 5 minutes.

I really like Dr. Day, he takes the time to explain diagnosis. He shows he cares and will try everything he knows to make your diagnosis better.

Professional, not 'chatty', but an apparent dry sense of humor. Easy to talk with and knows his expertise.

I have been coming to Dr. Day for many years and although he does not chatter on a lot, he will answer any of your questions in a pleasing manner. I have great faith in him.
