Chagrin Highlands dental group is the worst dental group you could possibly go to. Stay far away from this dental practice unless you wanna pay out your nose for unnecessary dental work he tries to work up a bill on his office manager. Christine is just brutal. she’s bullied me and she made me say that I’m gonna pay nine $10,000 for my teeth and they’re just crooks. They’re crooks. They’re not real doctors. They’re crooks they run a bad office Stay far away from this Chagrin Highlands dental group. The dentist is arrogant and bullied. Me also worked up a big bill. All I can say is stay away.

I failed to mention in my previous review that his receptionist was very dismissive and condescending during our discussion of billing practices. When I asked for a breakdown of the bill and an explanation, she was very bothered and put off.

I moved from another state to Cleveland, Ohio. My former dentist had installed a temporary crown that needed replacing. I wasn't aware that I was supposed to return to the original dentist who had begun the procedure. Per my insurance company, the original dentist had been paid in full. Per my insurance company, Dr. Desatnik's office NEVER verified coverage of the permanent crown procedure. Before the procedure Desatnik's office charged me around $390, which I paid. When I returned for a cleaning several months later, they told me I still owed $500 and refused me service! Per my insurance company as well as other dentists, Dr. Desatnik's office should have known (it's common practice) that the procedure would NOT be covered with his office and should have referred me back to the original dentist (ethics). I am appealing with my insurance company as my original dentist has since past away. I am very angry and disappointed at the level of GREED displayed in this case. As a side note, I… also learned that my insurance covers only two cleanings annually yet Destanik scheduled me for quarterly cleanings and never told me the additional cleanings were not covered by insurance. Wowww...SMH

Always pushes for unnecessary procedures. Lied about being able to potentially use medical insurance to cover procedures not covered by dental insurance. It was all a scam to begin a plan of care - then halfway thru admitted it wouldn't be covered. They twist your arm to pay up front before submitting to insurance on some procedures... very strange. Diagnosed my 18 year old with sleep apnea and a deviated septum - to forward to his dental/sleep partner. We verified with sleep specialist no such condition existed. ENT verified no deviated septum. Why would a dentist pretend he could determine these things!
