Dr. Douglas Edward Gearity, MD

I felt that as a first time client a dr should at least ask some questions to make it seem like he care about knowing who his patient is. I heard him go through 3 patients within 15 minutes. Seemed like he is rushing and not giving any personalized attention to anyone. Typically at around age 40 a woman should get a mammogram he didn’t even mention it but asked a lot about the HPV shots. Just overall a weird and uncomfortable experience.

His bedside manner was very poor. He did not seem to care about my concerns or questions, he laughed at my questions about the birth process and what to expect as if they were irrelevant and whimsical. I had written down my questions since this is my first time giving birth, obviously he really wasn't trying to stick around for the Q & A, he seemed annoyed. He implied that I NEED to get an epidural as if I didn't have a choice and further went on to tell me that he had 20 years of experience and that I don't have any. I have seen Dr. Forde-Kelly, Dr. Pena, and Dr. Rodriguez who were all sensitive to my concerns and needs as a first time mother and did not try to demand that I do anything. However, Dr. Gearity was cocky and arrogant, and really did not want to hear what I had to say. I would never see him again as a doctor and fortunately have only seen him once due to scheduling. It was a horrible experience with someone who has apparently lost his touch.

This was my first time seeing Dr. Gearity. I went to the St. Cloud office. I loved how the front desk person made me feel welcome. And that they were open on a Saturday. Really organized and quick.

The only thing that was good about this office was that I was able to get an emergency appt with him that day. Should have been a red flag to me! He didn't perform a proper pelvic exam, didn't palpate my area of concern and failed to diagnose a large mass of cysts (size of a softball) that I will be having surgery to remove. He was pushy about vaccines. Wanted to perform an invasive procedure on me right then and there but due to my time in my cycle it couldn't be done... I wouldn't have let him do it without having thought about it first. He's very pushy, rude and arrogant. Told me I wasn't leaving his office without getting the hep a shot and he scared me into getting it. Stay far ways from this "doctor". If I could rate him with no stars I would.

He rushes too much and does not actually listen. Visits often feel rushed and lack compassion.

This doctor only cares about money. He does not care about the patient or the pregnancy. ROUGH is an understatement. The staff is awful and so is he. AWFUL experience. Do not recommend him or his office. Will NEVER go back to that nightmare.

DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF HAVING HIM FOR A DR. DONT WALKED RUNS TO A NEW DR. QUICK!!!!

This doctor has the worse bedside manner. I wouldn't go back to him if he was last doctor on earth.
